Interpreting Putin’s Remarks On Syria, Israel, And Turkiye

Guest Post by Andrew Korybko

His pragmatic hedging preserves Russia’s national interests and even stands a chance at advancing them in the new regional reality.

Putin commented on Syria’s regime change during his annual Q&A session on Thursday. According to him, Russia’s military intervention succeeded in its goal of preventing the creation of an Afghan-like terrorist enclave. The groups that just seized power there, including terrorist-designated and -affiliated ones, have apparently changed their views over the years. That’s why the West wants to establish relations with them. The regime change therefore can’t be seen as a defeat for Russia.

Putin then defended his armed forces’ conduct during recent events by claiming that Russia no longer had any ground troops in Syria. Moreover, the estimated 30,000 Syrian and “pro-Iranian units” that were defending Aleppo surrendered the city to just 350 militants, after which they gave up the rest of the country to them too with few exceptions. He also revealed that Russia evacuated 4,000 Iranian fighters to Tehran while other allied units fled to Lebanon (a reference to Hezbollah) and Iraq without a fight.

As for the future of Russian influence in Syria, Putin claimed that “The overwhelming majority of [the groups that control the situation there] tell us that they would be interested in our military bases remaining”. He then proposed that they could be used to deliver humanitarian aid. The main beneficiary of the latest events is Israel, in his opinion, since they’ve practically demilitarized Syria and expanded their occupation zone in the country. He condemned those moves and hoped that they’d leave someday.

Putin also took the opportunity to condemn Israel’s illegal settlements in Palestine as well as its ongoing military operation in Gaza. These are all consistent Russian positions and nothing new. Observers might have been surprised though that he didn’t also condemn Turkiye. Instead, he explained that “Turkey is doing everything to ensure its security on its southern borders as the situation in Syria develops”, which he said is aimed at returning refugees and “push[ing] back Kurdish formations on the border.”

In connection with that second imperative, Putin expressed hope that there won’t be an aggravation of the situation like some have reported that Turkiye is planning. He also said that “we need to solve the Kurdish problem. Within the framework of Syria under President Assad, this had to be solved, now we need to solve it with the authorities that control the territory of Syria, and Turkey needs to somehow ensure its security. We understand all this.” This basically amounts to giving Turkiye a free pass in Syria.

Putin’s apparent double standard towards the similar issues of Turkish and Israeli military involvement in post-Assad Syria can be explained by Russia’s complex interdependence with the former. They’re closely tied together through nuclear energy cooperation, air defense systems (S-400s), natural gas, trade, and Istanbul’s prior role in mediating between Moscow and Kiev. By contrast, although Israel hasn’t armed Ukraine nor sanctioned Russia, there’s much less trade and no military-technical cooperation.

There are also optics to consider as well. Although Syria is still politically divided and Turkiye does indeed back the UN-designated Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) terrorist group, there’s no denying that many Syrians support Ankara as do many other Muslims in the region. The same can’t be said for Israel, which is universally reviled in Syria, except among some of the Druze that welcomed the self-professed Jewish State’s forces, and fiercely hated by most Muslims in the region.

It’s therefore better for Russia’s soft power interests to criticize Israel for occupying part of Syria while remaining silent about Turkiye doing the same thing. Likewise, considering the domestic and regional mood, it also makes sense for Putin to remind everyone about the pro-Iranian units’ cowardice in giving up cities without a fight and then fleeing abroad. After all, “Russia Dodged A Bullet By Wisely Choosing Not To Ally With The Now-Defeated Resistance Axis”, so it has no reason to sugarcoat what they did.

Altogether, Putin’s remarks on Syria, Israel, and Turkiye show that Russia eschews responsibility for what just happened in Syria, condemns Israel for its ongoing invasion there, and downplays Turkiye’s own. This is a coldly realist and ultra-pragmatic approach to the latest developments that fully aligns with Russia’s national interests as Putin sincerely understands them to be. It also contradicts the expectations that many members of the diverse non-Mainstream Media community had of him condemning Turkiye.

As can be seen, Putin doesn’t really care that Turkiye is a NATO member nor that it patronizes terrorist-designated HTS since he’s always insisted that the most important factor in their contemporary ties is the excellent working relationship that he has with his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The Russian leader sang his praises in October 2022 while speaking at the Valdai Club’s annual meeting when he was asked about whether his views on him had changed over the past two years. Here’s what he said:

“He is a competent and strong leader who is guided above all, and possibly exclusively, by the interests of Turkiye, its people and its economy…President Erdogan never lets anyone get a free ride or acts in the interests of third countries…But there is a desire on both sides to reach agreements, and we usually do it. In this sense, President Erdogan is a consistent and reliable partner. This is probably his most important trait, that he is a reliable partner.”

Putin wasn’t playing “5D chess to psyche out Turkiye” like some members of the diverse non-Maisntream Media community imagined at the time but was candidly sharing his views about Erdogan. Those who took his words seriously therefore knew better than to expect him to condemn Turkiye for its actions in Syria. Putin’s responsibility is to ensure Russia’s national interests, not conform to his online supporters’ fantasies about him spewing this or that talking point, which requires maximum flexibility.

“Non-Russian Pro-Russians” and even some Russians might be disappointed with his position towards recent events in Syria, but they should at least understand the reasons behind it. Russia couldn’t stop what just happened, which was the result of the Syrian Arab Army’s and pro-Iranian units’ cowardice in the face of the foreign-backed terrorist-driven blitz, and it won’t go to war with Turkiye over this either. By adapting to this new reality, Putin now has the best possible chance of advancing Russian interests.

It doesn’t mean that he’ll succeed, but there’s no guarantee of failure as would have been the case had he criticized Turkiye after being unable to stop it and unwilling to go to war with it afterwards. Even if things don’t work out like he envisages, Russia’s mutually beneficial bilateral ties with Turkiye won’t be jeopardized, nor will his country’s soft power be damaged since it’s not opposed to the outcome that the domestic and regional majority support. Putin’s pragmatic hedging therefore preserves Russian interests.

Putin Explicitly Confirmed What Was Already Self-Evident About Russia’s Nuclear Doctrine

Editors Note: We have a new regular contributor to this website, Andrew Korybyko who I found through his blog over on Substack.com. I think you’ll find his analysis regarding Ukraine, Russia and NATO insightful, easy to read and easy to understand. Enjoy.

Russia is worried that the influence of hawkish forces inside the US’ “deep state” might be growing and could ultimately lead to a large-scale conventional strike against it, including by proxy through Ukraine, which Russia hopes to deter by reminding them that this would result in World War III.

The hullabaloo over Russia’s updated nuclear doctrine is misplaced since all that Putin did was explicitly confirm what was already self-evident to all serious observers. Nobody should have ever thought that Russia wouldn’t consider a nuclear response to any overwhelming non-nuclear strike against it or its mutual defense ally Belarus, nor that it would overlook those who partook in such a provocation by proxy. Here’s exactly what Putin told the Security Council during their latest meeting on Wednesday:

“I would like to draw your attention specifically to the following. The updated version of the document is supposed to regard an aggression against Russia from any non-nuclear state but involving or supported by any nuclear state as their joint attack against the Russian Federation. It also states clearly the conditions for Russia’s transition to the use of nuclear weapons.

We will consider such a possibility once we receive reliable information about a massive launch of air and space attack weapons and their crossing our state border. I mean strategic and tactical aircraft, cruise missiles, UAVs, hypersonic and other aircraft.

We reserve the right to use nuclear weapons in the event of aggression against Russia and Belarus as a member of the Union State. All these issues have been agreed upon with the Belarusian side and the President of Belarus. Including the case when the enemy, using conventional weapons, creates a critical threat to our sovereignty.”

And here are some background briefings to review before analyzing what this all means:

* 19 August: “Why Might Ukraine Want Russia To Use Nuclear Weapons?

* 21 August: “Don’t Expect A Radical Response From Russia To The US’ Involvement In Ukraine’s Invasion Of Kursk

* 12 September: “Korybko To Karaganov: Russia’s Nuclear Doctrine Shouldn’t Apply To Any Territorial Encroachment

* 15 September: “Russia & The West Are Engaged In Political Choreography Over Ukraine’s Use Of Long-Range Weapons

* 15 September: “What Would Really Be Achieved By Russia Using Nuclear Weapons In Ukraine At This Point?

* 18 September: “The ‘War Of Attrition’ Was Improvised & Not Russia’s Plan All Along

* 21 September: “Lavrov Explained What Russia Hopes To Achieve By Talking About Its Red Lines

* 24 September: “Russia Rebuked The Hawks By Confirming That It Won’t Test Nukes Unless The US Does So First

The above will now be summarized for the reader’s convenience.

Russia has no reason to use nuclear weapons first in Ukraine since it can accomplish all its goals in this improvised “war of attrition” through conventional means. Crossing that threshold risks losing the support of its close Chinese and Indian trade partners, which is what Ukraine wants. Russia also won’t launch a nuclear first strike against NATO unlike what some have speculated. Putin has remained calm through every one of the West’s escalations and continues doing his utmost to avoid World War III.

No matter how negatively some in the West might view his restraint, such as misperceiving it as weakness, their main decisionmakers still know better than to cross Russia’s ultimate red lines of launching a direct attack against it and/or Belarus or a large-scale one against them via their Ukrainian proxy. The first scenario is totally out of the question, while the second one has been openly discussed among some Westerners amidst the debate over letting Ukraine use their long-range weapons.

A few NATO-backed but Ukrainian-fronted long-range attacks would certainly be an escalation, but they wouldn’t cross Russia’s abovementioned ultimate red lines. The problem though is that some Westerners have convinced themselves that Russia is indeed so weak that it wouldn’t consider a nuclear response in the scenario of large-scale strikes against it. It’s this hawkish faction of the Western elite that his message is directed towards since he fears that they might be rising in influence.

Their comparatively more pragmatic rivals who still call the shots always signal their escalatory intentions far in advance so that Russia could prepare itself and thus be less likely to “overreact” in some way that risks World War III. Likewise, Russia continues restraining itself from replicating the US’ “shock-and-awe” campaign in order to reduce the likelihood of the West “overreacting” by directly intervening in the conflict to salvage their geopolitical project and thus risking World War III.

It can only be speculated whether this interplay is due to each’s permanent military, intelligence, and diplomatic bureaucracies (“deep state”) behaving responsibly on their own considering the enormity of what’s at stake or if it’s the result of a “gentlemen’s agreement”. Whatever the truth may be, the aforesaid model accounts for the unexpected moves or lack thereof from each, which are the US correspondingly telegraphing its escalatory intentions and Russia never seriously escalating in kind.

Russia senses that the balance of influence between these factions within the US’ “deep state” might be shifting from the comparatively pragmatic one to their more hawkish rivals, however, which explains why Putin felt the need to explicitly confirm what was already self-evident about his country’s nuclear doctrine. One explanation is that the US’ ruling liberalglobalists want to provoke a Cuban-like brinksmanship crisis ahead of Trump’s potential second inauguration in order to sabotage his promise to broker a peace deal.

Another, which isn’t mutually exclusive, is that even the comparatively pragmatic faction is beginning to think that Russia is weak and therefore unlikely to escalate if the US launches a large-scale strike against it and/or Belarus by proxy through Ukraine. In their mind, this might coerce Russia into making unilateral concessions in exchange for peace, which could take the form of it withdrawing from some of the Ukrainian-claimed territory that it fought so hard to obtain control over since February 2022.

Putin really doesn’t want to risk doing anything that could inadvertently lead to World War III, hence why he’s thus far refused to reciprocally escalate every time that the West does, not to mention whenever they and their Ukrainian proxy crossed Russia’s earlier red lines. Nevertheless, he also doesn’t want Russia to lose its sovereignty if the West blackmails to that end it by exploiting these concerns to coerce it into a never-ending series of unilateral concessions, ergo why he authorized the special operation.

He therefore realized that it’s time to explicitly confirm what was already self-evident about Russia’s nuclear doctrine in order to dissuade the American “deep state’s” hawks from launching a large-scale strike against his country and/or Belarus by proxy through Ukraine. Depending on how serious it could be, Russia might consider responding with nukes against Ukraine and/or even some NATO countries, including before the damage is known upon “receiving reliable information about a massive launch”.

Once again, nobody should have ever thought that Russia wouldn’t consider a nuclear response to such a scenario, nor that it would overlook those who partook in it. Just because this wasn’t earlier explicitly articulated in its doctrine doesn’t mean that Putin would be forced to rule it out. No leader would ever let their hands be tied like that. Everyone knows this, but US hawks still had to be reminded of it just in case they’ve become so delusional as to think they could do pull off such an attack with impunity.

Vladimir Putin and Klaus Schwab Go Way Back

August 11, 2024

Once again folks, Putin is NO HERO! He is as corrupt as any leader in the West. Johnny
“Sputnik V” Is the Model Great Reset Drug

With the Most Obvious Direct Ties to the World Economic Forum

Yet it’s the one “vaccine” that isn’t being linked to it

Putin is a Rothschild bum boy like all world mis-leaders.

He’s just much more intelligent and therefore more effective.

from 12-21-23

by Riley Waggaman
(abridged by henrymakow.com)

In January of this year, Putin gave a keynote (virtual) address before the World Economic Forum. The theme of the January 2021 forum: “The Great Reset.”

Beginning his speech with a warm “dear Klaus,” Putin recalled how he first met Mr. Schwab in 1992 and since then had regularly attended events organized by the Fourth Industrial Revolution visionary.

Putin used his address to urge for “expanding the scale of [COVID] testing and vaccinations” across the globe–policies that have ushered in worldwide medical apartheid.

Echoing the sentiments of western leaders, Putin also argued that the global economy would need to be rebuilt from the ground up by central banks:

[T]he key question today is how to build a program of actions in order to not only quickly restore the global and national economies affected by the pandemic, but to ensure that this recovery is sustainable in the long run, relies on a high-quality structure and helps overcome the burden of social imbalances. Clearly, with the above restrictions and macroeconomic policy in mind, economic growth will largely rely on fiscal incentives with state budgets and central banks playing the key role.

The Russian president has repeatedly stated vaccination should be voluntary–but his personal opinion has had no impact on actual policy. All 85 regions of Russia now have decrees requiring certain segments of the population to get the shot.

On December 17, Putin voiced support for a nationwide QR code law–one of the most unpopular pieces of legislation in recent Russian history. The introduction of digital health IDs would in essence make vaccination compulsory for those who want to partake in life’s most ordinary activities.

In late November, after the health ministry approved “Sputnik-M”–Russia’s COVID shot for ages 12-17–Putin suggested authorities begin “thinking about” vaccinating children starting from the age of two. How many two-year-olds have died from COVID in Russia? (Trick question: the Russian government doesn’t disclose COVID-linked deaths by age group. In fact, the Russian government refuses to publish lots of highly important COVID-related data, including statistics on post-vaccination side effects. Why?)

TIME FOR A RETHINK?

In October, RT.com ran a provocative op-ed describing the Great Reset as a “cartoonish fantasy that will hand the global elite even more power.”

The piece lists various world leaders–including Boris Johnson, Emmanuel Macron, and Angela Merkel–as devout followers of Schwab. No mention of Russia anywhere.

The irony, of course, is that Sputnik V is practically the official vaccine of the WEF–and the Russian government is among Schwab’s biggest fans.

Putin calls for “full-scale implementation” of digital ruble

The Bank of Russia’s CBDC has proven its “efficiency and functionality”

From Edward Slavsquat on Substack

The Bank of Russia has been conducting a pilot with digital rubles since August 2023. The project will be expanded in September.

Praising the “efficiency and functionality” of the Bank of Russia’s CBDC, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed his government on Wednesday to prepare for the widespread introduction of the digital ruble.

“Now we need to take the next step, namely: move to a broader, full-scale implementation of the digital ruble in the economy, in business activities and in the financial sector,” Putin said during a meeting on economic issues.

Since August 2023, the Bank of Russia has been conducting a pilot program for the digital ruble involving 12 banks, 600 individuals and 22 trade service enterprises. The program will be expanded in September to include an additional 20 credit institutions. Participants will be able to make payments via QR code during the second phase of testing.

The law on the digital ruble was adopted in July 2023, designating the Bank of Russia’s CBDC as the third form of national currency. The CBDC will be introduced into the economy beginning in 2025.

A sampling of Russian media reports about Putin’s desire to see the mass introduction of the digital ruble (URABusiness GazetaInterfaxVedomosti)

Despite widespread opposition to the digital ruble from across Russia’s political spectrum, the Bank of Russia and its media cheerleaders claim that the traceable, programmable, centralized digital token will help bypass sanctions and fight corruption through greater financial transparency.

However, Moscow already has an alternative to SWIFT that can be used to circumvent sanctions, and the Bank of Russia already has the ability to monitor all money transfers in the country.

December 2021. source: rbc.ru

On Russian Telegram channels, reactions to Putin’s call for the “full-scale implementation” of the digital ruble were mostly negative.

The good news is that the Russian government might be too incompetent to fulfill Putin’s dream of a CBDC paradise.

“Considering the fantastic ability of the Russian authorities to fail any projects, skepticism about [the widescale adoption of the digital ruble] does not dissipate,” Russian commentator Anatoly Nesmiyan observed.

Editors Commentary: Edward does a great job at exposing what’s really going on inside of Russia, not the airbrushed propaganda that RT and Sputnik push out.

That being said I love articles like this one because it shows what Russia is really doing and it shows that Putin is NOT A HERO LIKE MANY PEOPLE (some of you included) KEEP TELLING ME! Putin is as sold out as any other leader in the West and he lies about everything just as well as they do. Just because a leader may SAY the right things in a speech doesn’t mean he believes it or will act on it. Sadly far too many people still fall for their slick words.

The Bible tells us in Psalm 146:3 to NOT put our trust in princes, in mortal man who cannot save. Then why do believers in Christ do it? I see it on social media everyday and it’s called IDOL WORSHIP! You don’t get to heaven that way and you won’t inherit eternal life. Jesus summed it up best in John 5:43; I have come in my Father’s name, and you do not receive me. If another comes in his own name, you will receive him. Yes that is exactly what happens and you can see it with the Trump deception and you can see it with the Putin idol worship.

At the end of the day every nation in the world is in on the great reset. They all have different roles to play but make no mistake they’re all moving in lockstep and following a playbook. I believe a big expansion of the world war is coming and it will strike America and Europe but I think America will really get smashed hard. Stay ready because it will happen with little to no warning. Prayed up and prepped up at all times. Johnny

Russian president offers negotiations while US senator calls to “take Putin out”

Drago Bosnic, independent geopolitical and military analyst

On December 25, during an interview on Rossiya-1 state television, President Vladimir Putin stated that the Russian Federation is ready to negotiate a peace deal to end the conflict in Ukraine. However, he once again reiterated his position that the political West is the power pole that Moscow is willing to initiate peace talks with, as the Kiev regime cannot be considered sovereign enough to negotiate an acceptable end to the conflict. The president of Russia also added that the Eurasian giant never refused initiatives for negotiations and that it was the other way around.

“We are ready to negotiate with everyone involved about acceptable solutions, but that is up to them – we are not the ones refusing to negotiate, they are,” Putin said and added: “I believe that we are acting in the right direction, we are defending our national interests, the interests of our citizens, our people. And we have no other choice but to protect our citizens.”

However, although Russia is ready to negotiate, it doesn’t think peace talks are necessary at all costs. Instead, Moscow’s primary goal is its security. This doesn’t only include a negotiated settlement that would halt NATO’s crawling encroachment on Russia’s western borders, but would also ensure the neutral status of Ukraine. Still, this status cannot be secured just by simply signing deals with the political West. The experience regarding this has been extremely negative, to say the least, as the belligerent power pole is infamous for its tendency to break deals ever since the (First) Cold War ended.

During the interview, Putin also reiterated his position that the United States and the North Atlantic Alliance are waging a proxy war against Russia by using Ukraine as a pawn. He also said that the political West is trying to “tear Russia apart” and essentially destroy it. “At the core of it all is the policy of our geopolitical opponents, aiming to tear Russia apart, the historical Russia,” Putin said. “They have always tried to ‘divide and conquer’… Our goal is something else – to unite the Russian people,” he concluded.

The parties to the conflict don’t appear to be any closer to peace talks, however. On the contrary, this scenario seems further from reality than ever before. While the US keeps arming the Kiev regime, including with “Patriot” SAM (surface-to-air missile) systems that are earmarked to be transferred to the Neo-Nazi junta forces as soon as possible, the Russian military seems to be preparing for another massive push. The Kiev regime simply doesn’t seem to have any intention of negotiating a peace deal, as proven by the Neo-Nazi junta’s frontman Volodymyr Zelensky. Last Wednesday he made a speech before the US Congress and boastfully declared that “absolute victory” is the “only acceptable outcome” and that he vehemently rejects any talks which would include territorial concessions.

Zelensky’s statements were soon supported by the controversial US South Carolina Republican senator Lindsey Graham. However, he went even further than Zelensky and made several remarks that couldn’t possibly be further from the most basic diplomatic etiquette. During a live Fox News interview, Graham called for Russian President Vladimir Putin to be assassinated. “How does this war end? When Russia breaks, and they take Putin out. Anything short of that, the war’s gonna continue,” Graham said on Wednesday’s America Reports on Fox. The first part of the comment also reaffirms Putin’s belief that the political West wants to “tear Russia apart”.

He also stated that the Russian military will supposedly “fail in Ukraine”, because “the US is in it to win it, and the only way you’re gonna win it is to break the Russian military and have somebody in Russia take Putin out to give the Russian people a new lease on life.” Graham further called on the US and NATO to continue arming the Kiev regime forces “completely, all in without equivocation” and that sending additional long-range missiles to the Neo-Nazi junta would “help dislodge Russian forces from the Donbas, and even Crimea.” He also added that “larger drones would kill tons of Russians without losing any Ukrainians in the endeavor” and concluded that giving Zelensky everything he’s asking for is “essential”.

This wasn’t the first time Graham publicly called for Vladimir Putin to be killed. He made similar remarks back in early March. This even prompted an official rebuke from the Biden administration. At the time, the White House Press Secretary stated “that is not the position of the United States government and certainly not a statement you’d hear come from the mouth of anybody working in this administration.” However, this obviously didn’t stop Graham from repeating the threat.

On the contrary, he essentially also added a call for a coup in Russia. To make matters worse, Graham is not alone in this. In early October, former US National Security Advisor John Bolton called Putin “a legitimate military target” and also called for a coup in Moscow. With such comments coming from the top of the US political establishment, it’s hard to imagine how Russia could ever hope to start negotiations with the belligerent thalassocracy.

Putin Interview: “The time of the East has come” as the West Becomes Social Outcast with Gender Bending and Pride Parades

As I’ve said many times the power structure has been shifting from the West to the East since the end of WW2. Now we are witnessing the demise and destruction of the EU and America as per the Freemason/Jesuit/Zionist Playbook. Here is more on the story from warnews 247 in Greece which is now blocked here in the USA. Thanks to my EXPRESS VPN I can get access through other countries. Translated to English for your convenience.

n Part 2 of the most important interview of the last 20 years by the president of Russia B.Putin, there is talk about the rise of Asia and the disintegration of the West due to the policies adopted by the governments.

It is characteristic that the interview ended and B. Putin stopped talking after almost 4 hours. Complete the event with the words “Success is assured”

At the beginning, the Russian president delivered a keynote speech (42 minutes), and then the Russian head of state answered questions from club members for almost three hours.

Read also: B. Putin’s historic speech: The unipolar world is over – Saudi Arabia has asked to join the BRICS! – Ukraine has a “dirty” bomb ready (Part A’)

B. Putin’s special reference to Iranian General K. Soleimani and the way in which he was assassinated by the Americans ” even though he was a representative of the Iranian government in Baghdad” stands out.

They have no limits. They are not ashamed of anything. You can judge Suleimani as you like but he is an official of another state. They murdered him on the territory of a third country and said “yes we killed him”.

What the hell is this? Where do we live?”

With this special reference, B. Putin seals the now strategic alliance with Iran.

“The time has come for the East and Asia”

B. Putin emphasized:

-Westerners have the illusion that there is only Western civilization in the world. They find it difficult to adapt to the new reality, but they will be forced. The majority of the world’s population is in the East.

-There are two Wests, the traditional West, mainly of Christian values, with which we have much in common and even ancient roots, and the cosmopolitan West, which functions as a tool of the liberal elites.

-The West, losing its superiority, turns into a minority, but its rights must be guaranteed unconditionally

-Losing its global dominance, the West is turning into a worldwide pariah. New trends, gay parades, dozens of new races of foreigners have been imposed on Western societies. Their right. But they have no right to want to impose the same on other countries.

“If Western culture wants to introduce dozens of genders and pride parades, let them do it. But they have no right to demand that others follow in their footsteps.”

-Human dignity is the foundation on which we must build our future. Traditional values are not a fixed set of claims, in any case they are unique to each nation, they should not be imposed, but respected

-The neo-liberal (ie internationalist) ideology has crossed the line. Neo-liberals have begun to declare that an open society has enemies and that their freedom must be curtailed or destroyed.

– We see that complex demographic, political and social processes are happening in Western countries (including the Great Restart). This is their internal affair. Russia does not interfere in these matters and will not intervene. Unlike the West, we are not invading someone else’s backyard.

-The Western economic blitzkrieg against Russia has failed.

Heavy attack against the West

The Russian President V.Putin launched a series of tirade against the West from the Valdai Forum.

As he claimed, the US and NATO are doing everything to escalate military operations in Ukraine.

“Westerners play a dangerous, dirty and bloody game.

They are fueling the war in Ukraine, sending politicians to Taiwan, destabilizing global food and energy markets.

As to the latter, I have no doubt.

It is due to a series of systemic mistakes committed by the Western authorities,” he said, adding:

“The West wants to dominate the world, it wants to define the destinies of the world.

For this he plays a dangerous, dirty and bloody game.

It questions the sovereignty of peoples and nations, their identity and uniqueness and is not interested in the interests of other states.

It is no accident that she says that her culture … should be recognized as universal.

That’s how they behave.

And they insist through their politics that they all accept these values unconditionally.

She is blinded by colonialism.

Backed by the West, the Kiev regime publicly repudiated the Minsk agreements.
NATO expansion was unacceptable to Russia, all our efforts to convey this idea were ignored.

The coup organized there led to Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine.

And, unfortunately, behind their arrogance, many European countries do not notice that they themselves have already become vassals, often without the right to vote.”

The dominance of the West is over

Referring to Ukraine, he stressed that the developments since the start of the military operation signal changes in the existing world order, adding that the dominance of the West is over.

He even added that from now on Asia’s voice in world affairs will be stronger.

The Russian president stressed that he is constantly mindful of the losses of Russian soldiers on the battlefield, but stressed that Moscow had no choice but to launch the “special military operation”.

Referring to nuclear weapons, he emphasized that the risk of using nuclear weapons will always exist as long as they exist.

“Ukraine has historically developed as an artificial state,” the Russian president said.

Putin, when asked if what is happening between Russia and Ukraine can be considered a civil war, said: “Partly, yes.

The Russian and Ukrainian people are united, this is a historical fact.

Ukraine is an artificial state.”

“two choices”

According to the Russian president, humanity has two options: either to continue to “accumulate all the problems that are sure to overwhelm us all” or for nations to work together “to find solutions”.

Putin asserted that Russia is not an enemy of the West, but emphasized that he will not tolerate dictates and orders from it.

“Western elites have no right to impose their way on others, no one can dictate to our people how we should build our society.

Westerners are indifferent to laws and rules, considering other people as second class.

They use economic sanctions and “color revolutions” (aka coups) against their opponents, as they cannot compete fairly with the rising economic and political power of Asia.

The US discredited the international financial system by using the US dollar as a weapon, and estimated that other countries’ moves to reduce their dependence on the dollar would be accelerated.

Westerners, however, are hypocrites.

They sell their businesses for a dollar to their administrations and whisper in their ear, we won’t be late, we’ll be back soon.

The latest developments are “tectonic shifts in the world order,” he said and added that we are facing one of the most “dangerous” and “unpredictable” decades after World War II,” the Russian president concluded.

Biden’s allegations about Russia’s supposed nuclear escalation in Ukraine are hypocrisy

This is a guest post from Drago Bosnic, independent geopolitical and military analyst

The usage of weapons of mass destruction in a conflict hasn’t happened since August 9, 1945, when the United States of America dropped the second atomic bomb on the Japanese city of Nagasaki (the first one destroyed Hiroshima just three days prior), killing tens of thousands of civilians in seconds. With well over a thousand tests, the US is also infamous for detonating the largest number of atomic and thermonuclear weapons in history.

And yet, the belligerent thalassocracy is also known for using weapons of mass destruction (WMDs) as a pretext to launch wars of aggression and invasions against dozens of sovereign countries, supposedly to prevent the usage of such weapons in war. The most prominent example of this must be Iraq, which the US and its numerous satellite states have attacked multiple times under this pretext. Iraqi WMDs were never found, although the US still insists that the destruction of the Middle Eastern country was supposedly justified.

Even though virtually the entire world knows that the US accusations against Iraq were based on false claims, America seems determined to continue using this pretext when attacking others. It has been accusing Syria of using chemical weapons for over a decade now, all without solid proof and has even directly attacked the country and its security forces under this pretext.

In addition to Syria, the US-led political West is making the same allegations against Russia. Since February 24, the US and its numerous vassals have been accusing Moscow of using chemical weapons during its special military operation against the Neo-Nazi junta in Kiev. Western state and corporate-run mainstream media have been spinning this narrative for months, especially in April and May. However, US President Joe Biden has upped the ante and effectively accused Russia of planning to use nuclear weapons in Ukraine.

On Sunday, September 18, during a “60 Minutes” interview, Joe Biden “issued a warning” to his Russian counterpart, President Vladimir Putin, to “not change the face of war” by supposedly “using either tactical nuclear or chemical weapons” against the Kiev regime forces. “Don’t. Don’t. Don’t. You will change the face of war unlike anything since World War II,” the US president stated while speaking to CBS interviewer Scott Pelley.

The question was most likely staged as a way to portray Russia in the worst possible light while presenting the US as the supposed “voice of reason,” which is quite hypocritical given the US history of using WMDs. Biden didn’t specify what the US would do in case Russia decided to use such weapons, but he claimed that it would be “consequential” and that the end result would be: “They’ll become more of a pariah in the world than they ever have been.” Without going into specifics, he stated that the US reaction would “depend on the extent of what they do.”

It’s quite clear these warnings and empty threats are primarily designed for domestic use, given the unflattering state of America’s economy and the severe inflation which is hurting the American people’s purchasing power. In addition, there have been no indicators that Russia is planning to use any sort of WMDs, especially given the fact that the Eurasian giant hasn’t declared war or national mobilization. Russia’s strategic forces have been put on high alert in previous months, but this was in response to US and NATO actions.

The Kiev regime has regularly been accusing Russia of alleged chemical weapons usage, but none of these claims were ever supported by any evidence and were mostly used for war propaganda purposes. More recently, the Kiev regime officials have also been claiming that Russia is now using the Soviet-era Zaporozhye nuclear power plant for “nuclear blackmail” and to “unleash nuclear terror”. These allegations are quite strange and even ironic, given the fact that the Neo-Nazi junta forces have been shelling the nuclear power plant for months, risking a potential nuclear catastrophe, possibly orders of magnitude worse than the 1986 Chernobyl or 2011 Fukushima disasters.

In early August, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres stated that the world was “one miscalculation away from nuclear annihilation.” At the time, Guterres added that “we have been extraordinarily lucky so far” and called for a broader stand-down of all nuclear-armed powers’ arsenals, but also stressed that the “luck” the world had enjoyed so far in avoiding a nuclear catastrophe “may not last” and urged the world to “renew a push towards eliminating all such weapons.”

“Luck is not a strategy. Nor is it a shield from geopolitical tensions boiling over into nuclear conflict,” he concluded.

Moscow has also voiced its own concern for the potential of nuclear escalation, but these warnings were directed at the political West, particularly its military wing in the form of NATO, which has been conducting a crawling expansion toward Russia’s borders for over three decades now, despite promises not to do so.

In April, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov vowed that Moscow would do everything in its power to avoid using nuclear weapons. However, he also stressed the danger of underestimating how fast things could spiral out of control in Ukraine if the political West continued its belligerent policies towards Russia. Lavrov’s comments were specifically directed at NATO and its destabilizing role in Ukraine as the aggressive military alliance has been effectively engaged in a proxy war against Russia by supplying billions of dollars’ worth of weapons to the Neo-Nazi junta in Kiev.

Putin, Biden to discuss Geneva agreements, Middle East, Ukraine, NATO

From Tass.com

MOSCOW, December 3. /TASS/. The date of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s videoconference meeting with his US counterpart, Joe Biden, has been tentatively approved and will be announced after it has been finalized with US counterparts, Kremlin Aide Yuri Ushakov told reporters on Friday.

“We are working on a possible contact between Putin and Biden in the videoconference format. This contact is to take place within days. We have a concrete date and time for this videoconference. But it is better to wait until all its parameters are agreed with the US side and then we will be able to announce it officially. This videoconference meeting is being prepared quite actively,” he said.

Geneva summit and international issues

“The agenda is obvious. It will be an important contact as a follow-up to the Geneva talks. The progress in the implementation of the Geneva agreements will be touched upon,” Ushakov said. “They will be talking about bilateral affairs, pressing international issues, including Afghanistan, Iran, the intra-Ukrainian crisis, and Libya. Syria may be touched upon, if the conversation goes that way.”

The Russian presidential aide added that the leaders would also discuss “progress in the dialogue on strategic stability.”

“The implementation of our idea to hold a summit of the permanent members of the UN Security Council will certainly be touched upon,” Ushakov added.

Guarantees of NATO non-enlargement

NATO-related issues will be also on the table of the talks. The two presidents will discuss legal accords on excluding NATO’s further eastward enlargement.

“I think that the Russian president will discuss this issue in the course of his upcoming contact with President Biden,” Ushakov said, reminding reporters that Putin spoke about the need for guarantees in this sphere at a Foreign Ministry enlarged board session and at a meeting with foreign ambassadors.

“This is our proposal on the need to hold joint work with colleagues, with leading countries on reaching corresponding legal accords that would rule out any further eastward expansion by NATO and the deployment of weapon systems that directly threaten us on the territory of states bordering on Russia, including Ukraine,” he said.

According to Putin’s aide, Moscow urgently needs assurances that NATO would not expand in the eastward direction.

“It is a very old issue. Both the Soviet Union and Russia were given verbal assurances that NATO’s military structures would not advance eastward. However, it turned out that those verbal assurances were worthless, although those statements were documented somehow, and there are records of the corresponding conversations,” the Kremlin aide said.

“Given the current tense situation, there is an urgent need for us to be provided with appropriate guarantees, as it cannot go on like this,” he emphasized. “It is hard to say what form this document will take, the main thing is that they must be written agreements.” Source
