The Alt-Media Community went overboard hyping up BRICS and the latest Kazan Summit.
Over a week has passed since the latest BRICS Summit in Kazan so it’s possible to assess what exactly it achieved now that the dust has settled. The primary takeaway is the Kazan Declaration, which Director General of the prestigious Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC) Andrey Kortunov described as “a manifesto for the new world order”. His praise shouldn’t be taken lightly since he’s an archetypical realist who also earlier tempered expectations about what BRICS was capable of agreeing to.
Titled “What BRICS Cannot and What It Can Deliver”, Kortunov explained that: “BRICS cannot become a global economic integration project”; BRICS will not turn into a multilateral political or security alliance of an anti-Western nature”; BRICS is not likely to contribute a lot to resolving disputes between its members or disputes between its members and third parties”; and “BRICS will never become an analogue to G7.”
He then juxtaposed these assessments with his expectations that “BRICS can promote trade and investments among its members, as well as contribute to economic and social development of these members”; “BRICS could help to shape common non-Western approaches to global problems”; “BRICS is capable of contributing to the dialogue of civilizations”; and “BRICS can become an important source of ideas and proposals for UN, G20 and other universal bodies.”
This background places his description from the introduction into context, which will now be elaborated on. According to Kortunov, “For the first time in BRICS’ history, the Declaration sets out in detail the group’s shared vision of the current state of the international system, the common or overlapping approaches to the fundamental global problems of our time and to acute regional crises, and the contours of a desirable and achievable world order as the members of the group currently see it.”
He then immediately added that “While the document does not provide specific timetables for individual tasks or roadmaps for specific areas of work, it does cover a number of key objectives that the group should or could pursue over the next few years.” In his assessment, “there is a clear balance between the security and development agendas”, which he considers to be a deliberate choice “to maintain its very broad mandate” instead of focusing on purely economic and financial affairs.
He thus surmised that “BRICS intends to position itself as a multitasking laboratory of global governance, where new algorithms of multilateral cooperation and innovative models for solving the world’s major economic and political problems can be tested, including trade, finance and strategic stability.” To that end, BRICS is balancing between reforming the Western-centric world order and creating alternative institutions, and it’s the latter which excites the group’s enthusiasts the most.
Before proceeding, however, it’s important to clarify a few matters. Putin declared prior to the summit that a common BRICS currency isn’t currently being considered and then he said during the event that Russia isn’t fighting against the dollar. Kremlin spokesman Peskov later added that BRICS as a whole isn’t trying to defeat the dollar either and that their financial messaging service won’t be an alternative to SWIFT. These policy reminders bring the analysis around to discussing the group’s three main initiatives.
Sputnik published a handy guide here about BRICS Bridge, BRICS Clear, and BRICS Pay, which are correspondingly a financial messaging service, an independent blockchain-based depository system, and a cashless payment service. As was earlier written, they don’t aim to replace their Western antecedents but simply to create alternatives for others to use in order to hedge against the risk of the West one day weaponizing these existing platforms against them like they did against Russia from 2022 onward.
None of them have yet to be rolled out, but progress was made on their creation and eventual implementation during the summit. The same goes for Russia’s proposals to set up grain and precious metals exchanges, which could in theory help form the foundation for a new currency or at least a common unit of account that some have simply called “the unit”. This could consist of a combination of commodities and a basket of members’ currencies, but it’ll likely take years to agree upon, if ever.
Much more successful was BRICS’ bestowing of partnership status on around a dozen countries, though no official list has yet to be published, but some countries like Cuba already celebrated receiving this status while others like Venezuela were upset that they didn’t get it (in this case due to Brazil’s veto). Even so, it was explained last month that “BRICS Membership Or Lack Thereof Isn’t Actually That Big Of A Deal”, namely because any country can voluntarily coordinate their financial policies with BRICS.
In other words, while this distinction is prestigious and being snubbed like Venezuela was by Brazil is thus a deep insult, it doesn’t really matter whether any country participates in discussions on financial multipolarity processes as an official member, observers as a partner, or hears about the outcome afterwards. All cooperation is voluntary so anyone – be they a member, partner, or non-associate – can either implement BRICS’ proposals or decline if they feel that they don’t meet their national interests.
Seeing as how one’s ties with BRICS therefore don’t really matter either way, the group’s partnership expansion is thus purely symbolic, which means that nothing of tangible significance was agreed to during last week’s summit. The same came be said about every prior summit apart from the Fortaleza one in 2014 where members agreed to create the New Development Bank (NDB), which is the only tangible manifestation of BRICS’ efforts to create alternative institutions, but it’s also clearly imperfect.
NDB President Dilma Rousseff confirmed in July 2023 that “The NDB reiterated that it is not planning new projects in Russia and operates in compliance with applicable restrictions on international financial and capital markets.” Simply put, the NDB that Russia itself co-founded complies with the US’ sanctions against it, thus making this less of a real alternative to Western institutions and more of a complement. That might also have to do with China, where it’s based, complying with most Western sanctions.
China has been more cautious about provoking the US’ threatened secondary sanctions than India due to it being considered by the US to be a systemic rival, the perception of which it doesn’t want to inadvertently confirm, hence why it’s complied with so many of the sanctions so far. In fact, Russia’s Special Presidential Representative for SCO Affairs Bakhtiyor Khakimov revealed last week that his country can’t even pay its dues because the bank is located in China and they also only use dollars.
If the political will was present, then China would have devised a workaround by now instead of dragging the issue on for so long that Khakimov felt compelled to complain to the public about it, which just goes to show how strictly China is complying with the sanctions inside BRICS and even the SCO. To be sure, bilateral trade continues to grow so some alternative channels have been created, but they’re seemingly segmented based on industry (ex: energy, tech) and don’t facilitate payments to others like the NDB.
Reflecting on everything that was shared, both Kortunov’s insight and that which followed, the latest BRICS Summit was symbolic just like every prior one apart from 2014’s that led to the creation of the clearly imperfect NDB. BRICS’ purely voluntary nature means that it’ll never become what its enthusiasts expect since there are too many asymmetries between its members. There’s also no realistic chance of BRICS making compliance with its proposals mandatory either since that would lead to its dissolution.
These observations greatly limit what BRICS could foreseeably achieve, but they don’t rule out the creation of more alternative institutions like those represented by BRICS Bridge, BRICS Clear, and BRICS Pay. Grain and precious metals exchanges are also possible, but in those cases, only on the basis of minilaterals within BRICS that are then given the group’s branding after everyone else agrees. A common BRICS currency or a common unit of account is a much longer-term goal that’s unobtainable for now.
The disappointing precedent established by the NDB’s compliance with US sanctions makes one worry about just how much of a true alternative the abovementioned institutions that Russia seeks to also co-found will be. There’s no doubt that Russia learned from that experience so nobody should assume that it already invested the time and resources required for creating these new institutions without first devising a way to prevent them from sanctioning it too, but it remains to be seen how this will work.
The conclusion is that it’s a lot easier to talk about creating truly alternative institutions than actually doing so, which means that BRICS will likely just remain a talking club, or a “multitasking laboratory of global governance” as Kortunov diplomatically described it. That’s not to downplay the group’s role since it’s important for major and developing non-Western countries to discuss pressing issues of the evolving world order, especially economic-financial ones, but that’s not the same as what enthusiasts expected.
At the end of the day, the Alt-Media Community went overboard hyping up BRICS and the latest Kazan Summit, only for nothing of tangible significance to emerge from the first since 2014’s decision to create the clearly imperfect NDB that later sanctioned Russia while the second had no tangible outcome at all. The latter did indeed lay the basis for creating more alternative institutions, although it’s unclear when they’ll be unveiled and how Russia will ensure that they don’t sanction it like the NDB ended up doing.
The Kazan Summit therefore wasn’t a failure, and in fact, it succeeded in its only realistic goal all along of gathering its members and partners together to discuss ways to voluntarily accelerate financial multipolarity processes such as through the increased use of national currencies. The outcome was always going to be more symbolic than tangible due to the group’s purely voluntary nature, though some observers had false expectations and thus feel bitter, but now they know what BRICS is really about.

The following are among the abuses and murders inflicted on Christians by Muslims throughout the month of September 2024.
Pakistan: Forced Conversion and Rape of Christians
On September 12, a Muslim man and two accomplices kidnapped a 16-year-old Christian girl, then forced her to convert to Islam and marry him. Her parents were away at the time, but when they returned, neighbors said they had seen the gun-wielding suspects bundling their daughter, Diya Iftikhar, into a white Suzuki van and fleeing the scene. “We were terrified,” said the mother, Shaida, “because Ghazaal and his accomplices were involved in the Aug. 16, 2023 attacks on churches and homes in Jaranwala. They are notorious for their criminal activities, including sexual harassment of Christian girls.” Four days later a video was sent to the parents of the underage girl saying she had converted to Islam and married of her own free will:
“We knew Diya was coerced to record this false statement, because she detested Ghazaal. She had often complained to us that Ghazaal and his friends used to harass her when she went to her tuition center.”
Although her parents had immediately gone to the police, they refused to respond. After repeatedly visiting and “pestering” the police station, authorities briefly detained the kidnapper:
“But this was just to show us that the police were making an effort to find Diya. They neither investigated him nor put pressure on him to help recover our daughter from his son’s illegal custody.”
Joseph, the girl’s father, said the investigating officer of the case was being not being cooperative:
“Despite pleading with the IO for Diya’s recovery, he is not taking any action against Ghazaal and his accomplices. My wife and I work in local textile factories and do not have the money to pursue the case in court. We also made a video appeal for support from Christian organizations but so far we haven’t received any legal assistance.”
He said the suspects were pressuring them to drop the case,
“but we will not stop until Diya is returned to us. I’m also fearful for the security of my four younger daughters. If the abductors are not arrested and punished, it will put them and the other Christian girls of my village at serious risk of abduction. I beg the police authorities to protect us from these predators.”
Discussing how common such cases are, the report adds,
“Typically, kidnapped girls in Pakistan, some as young as 10, are abducted, forced to convert to Islam and raped under cover of Islamic “marriages” and are then pressured to record false statements in favor of the kidnappers… Judges routinely ignore documentary evidence related to the children’s ages, handing them back to kidnappers as their “legal wives.” Recorded cases of abduction and forced conversion numbered 136 in 2023, the highest annual total ever… Unofficial sources suggest that forced religious conversions linked to forced marriages affect as many as 1,000 girls belonging to religious minorities annually.”
Separately, “Muslims who abducted a 17-year-old Christian girl and gang-raped her for 10 days are,” according to a Sept. 30 report, “threatening her family to pressure them to withdraw charges, even as police have failed to arrest most of the suspects.” The girl’s impoverished family repeatedly tried to retrieve the girl, to no avail. “I’m a poor man and did not have the resources to take a stand against the influential Muslims on my own,” said her father, Taj Masih.
“When the accused were summoned by the village council, they admitted that they had taken her and assured them that she would be returned to us. However, when they kept delaying her return on various pretenses, I filed a complaint with the police… Police on Sept. 5 found the girl, who told them that she had been gang-raped by Muhammad Yasir and Muhammad Saif… A medical examination [and DNA testing] proved she was physically tortured and raped multiple times by the suspects.”
The father said that police arrested Saif (Arabic for “sword”) even though all the other suspects, including a Muslim woman who helped in the abduction, are still free:
“I go to the police station every day hoping for justice but return home empty-handed… [Now] they are threatening me to drop the case or face the consequences, but I won’t back down.”
His poverty and Christian faith have been double obstacles in achieving justice, he said:
“There are about 25-30 Christian families in our locality, and a majority of us are laborers. We are often discriminated against due to our religion, but I was not expecting the police to treat this case with such an indifferent attitude. My daughter’s honor has been violated, and she’s been scarred for life, but it seems there’s no justice for poor Christians like us.”
In another case, on Sept. 11, a high court ordered the recovery of two Christian sisters, aged 13 and 18. They were forcibly converted to Islam and married to their abductors nearly two months earlier in July. According to attorney Sumera Shafique,
“The family was sleeping in their two-room quarters on July 23 when Zain and Ali accompanied by some unidentified accomplices entered their home, locked the door of the parents’ room from the outside and abducted the girls.”
The parents immediately alerted the police, only to be completely ignored. According to the girls’ mother, Sumera Bibi,
“We kept pleading with police for recovering our daughters, but they did not act. Whenever we received information from someone about my daughters’ whereabouts, my husband and eldest son would immediately go to those cities to look for them. We had to take loans to meet the travel expenses, and we are now under a huge debt.”
A few days after the initial kidnapping, forged Islamic conversion certificates were sent to the parents, falsifying the two girls’ ages. Attorney Shafique continues,
“The perpetrators lived in the same neighborhood and ostensibly targeted the girls because of their poverty and vulnerability due to their Christian faith. The police’s attitude is also regrettable, because they made no effort to find the girls. The court has now directed the Kasur District Police Officer to recover the girls, so we are hoping that the local police will now take some action against the accused.”
Last reported, the rapists’ Muslim relatives were pressuring the Christian family to “withdraw the case and forget about the sisters.” According to the girls’ mother, they
“even attacked my husband with an axe when he confronted them…. How can we let them destroy the lives of our daughters? Neha is only 13, while her abductor-husband is more than double her age… We haven’t seen our daughters since the time they were taken from our home,” she said. “We are extremely worried about them and want them back at all costs.”
Finally, Muslim employers of a teenage Christian boy forcibly converted him to Islam and are refusing to release him. Samsoon Javed, 17, had taken the new job at a gas company to help his family financially. Before long, “He began avoiding us and his siblings and didn’t speak much when he was at home,” said Samina Javed, his mother:
“We were worried about him, but despite our repeated prodding he wouldn’t tell us anything…. We came to know about Samsoon’s conversion in September, when he didn’t come home from work. When my husband and I went to Umar’s shop to inquire about Samsoon, he told us that our son had become a Muslim and didn’t want to live with us anymore. We were shocked to hear this and pleaded with Umar to let us meet with Samsoon, but he refused and told us to leave his property.”
After a few days, they managed to see the supposed willing convert:
“Samsoon kept silent and avoided eye contact when we asked him about his conversion. It was quite clear that he was scared and under pressure. He told us to leave, saying Umar would be angry if he saw us there.”
They later learned from contacts that the Muslim employers had been taking their son to an Islamic spiritual guide (Pir), who pressured the teen to change his Christian faith:
“I’m certain that Samsoon is being held by the two brothers against his will. I have seen fear in his eyes… [I]t’s as if he’s being blackmailed or threatened by them. I know that he’ll expose the truth once he’s out of their custody…. We are in a very difficult situation – no local Muslim is likely to help us because of Samsoon’s alleged conversion. Even if someone does support us, there’s a chance that my son will be disappeared or harmed.”
The Muslim Slaughter of Christians
Nigeria: Headlines of the “pure genocide” of Christians from the month of September follow:
Burkina Faso: On Sunday, Sept. 1, Muslims terrorists murdered 26 Christians who moments earlier were worshipping inside their church. The terrorists first surrounded the building and ordered the women and children out. Next they tied up and ritually executed the men. Before leaving, the Muslims plundered and then torched the church and Christian homes. The report adds that,
“Although this attack in Banwa province was exceptionally brutal, it was not the first targeting [of] the Christian community during a religious ceremony. On February 25, a similar attack in Essakana, in the north of the country, left fifteen dead [Christians] and two injured during a Sunday mass.”
Egypt: Muslims murdered, hacked to pieces, and dumped the remains of a Christian man into a Cairo canal. He was responding to an advertisement on social media to assist an elderly person in Cairo. The notice included the offer of a generous salary, along with broader networking opportunities in the field of physical therapy. His family lost contact with him, only to receive a call from people—the ones behind the fake job advertisement, who ended up choosing him due to his overtly Christian name (Mina)—saying they had kidnapped and were holding Mina for 150,000 (roughly $3,000) Egyptian pounds in ransom, a sizable sum for poorer Egyptians. Mina had taken this distant job precisely to help — not exacerbate — his impoverished family’s condition. The authorities managed to track the young man down to a Cairo apartment. On breaking in, they found parts of Mina’s body—his torso and one arm—with no head, legs, or other arm, which had already been hacked off and thrown into the nearby Ismaila Canal. Three men were arrested; they confessed to their crime. Last reported, divers were searching in the canal for Mina’s head.
Muslim Attacks on Churches and Christian Symbols
England: On Sunday, Sept. 1, a Muslim woman entered a church, screamed “Allahu Akbar!” [“Allah is the greatest”] and announced that she was “here to kill the God of the Jews.” According to the report,
“Pastor Regan King had been preparing for worship at the evangelical Angel Church in Islington, North London, with his Jewish wife Rachel and young children. But the crazed woman entered at about 10am, allegedly shouting Islamic calls to prayer in Arabic before directly addressing and reaching out to the youngsters. Mr King then moved his family to safety before demanding that the woman leave the building, but she was instead said to have became [sic] more aggressive. Metropolitan Police officers were then called before the woman began shouting anti-Semitic abuse and screamed: ‘I am here to kill the God of the Jews’. The Muslim woman repeatedly shouts ‘Allahu Akbar’ through the sound system at The Angel Church in Islington, North London, on Sunday before the Metropolitan Police arrived. The woman is said to have became [sic] more aggressive after she was asked to leave the building. As she was arrested on suspicion of a religiously-aggravated public order offence, the woman allegedly tried to appeal to one of the officers who she believed was a Muslim. She was said to have referred to him as ‘brother’, spoke in Arabic and repeatedly said to him: ‘Remember Allah.’ However, the officer told her that he did not speak Arabic and that she should speak in English.”
“My family and I are deeply concerned and shaken by this incident, especially my wife who is Jewish. She is traumatised and now fears going outside. Since October 7 especially, as a family and church, we have experienced multiple incidents of antisemitism and anti-Christianity. Yet we are undeterred and will continue to operate as usual albeit with plans for increasing our security.”
Switzerland: On Sept. 7, Sanija Ameti, the municipal councilor of Zurich, who is of Bosnian Muslim origin, published photos of herself on Instagram using a poster of Mary and Baby Jesus for target practice. The heads of Mary and Jesus appear riddled with bullet holes. After her post caused an outcry among Christians in Europe and America, she quickly deleted the image and tried to apologize. But even her own political partly, the Swiss Green Liberal Party, have distanced themselves from her, with their president saying that the act was a “deliberate provocation.” The Swiss Conference of Catholic Bishops also condemned the act: “Even if one disregards the religious representation of the Mother of God, the use of this image testifies to violence and disrespect towards the human person.”
Germany: A Muslim migrant from Syria, with a history of criminal behavior stretching back to his arrival in 2017, assaulted a 79-year-old German man in a religiously inspired crime. According to the Sept. 16 report,
“At around 12 noon, a 27-year-old refugee from Syria approached a German pensioner and ripped the chain with the Christ cross from his neck…. He then allegedly punched the 79-year-old victim in the face. The senior citizen suffered a bleeding wound…. According to the Gera public prosecutor’s office, the motive for the crime is clearly ‘religious.'”
Kosovo: A historic church was desecrated and shot up in the 95% Muslim nation. In a statement, the Serbian Orthodox Church expressed its
“deep concern and regret over the latest desecration of a historic church site in Međugore…. The destruction of icons and visible bullet damage at this sacred site … is a deeply troubling act that further intensifies the pain and uncertainty felt by our people in Kosovo and Metohija, especially in recent times…. The desecration of this place sends an overt message of hostility, reinforcing the feeling that our people, who have lived in Kosovo and Metohija for centuries, are no longer welcome. We wish to emphasize that this incident, along with other pressures and intimidation from extremists, as well as from the Kosovo police, threatens the safety and dignity of the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija. Twenty-five years after the war, it is unacceptable that acts of violence and desecration continue to go unpunished, indicating the inability of local authorities to fully ensure the security and protection of our Church and its faithful. Such actions have a damaging impact … as they deepen ethnic and religious divisions…”
Indonesia: Between September 2 and 4, authorities arrested seven Muslims for plotting to assassinate Pope Francis. During raids on the suspects’ homes, extremist and ISIS literature was found, as well as drones and weapons, drones. The seven Muslims reportedly did not know each other and were working independently. Some of the would-be assassins were especially angered because the pope had visited Istiqlal mosque, southeast Asia’s largest Muslim worship center, and that its Islamic call to prayer was interrupted during a live televised broadcast of the pope’s visit to Jakarta. There were also threats to set fire to all the locations visited by Francis. One of the suspects “conveyed provocation on social media to burn down places of worship (churches) during the pope’s visit to Jakarta.” Another posted on social media: “I WILL BOMB THE POPE. I’M A TERRORIST…JUST BE CAREFUL…WAIT FOR NEWS YEEE.” Another simply wrote that he would “shoot” the pope.
Muslim Attacks on Christian Freedom: Jihad on Apostates, Blasphemers, and Evangelists
Iran: On Sept. 20, Mojdeh Falahi, a 36-year-old Christian woman—a convert from Islam—who has been held without charges since Sept. 9, “wept uncontrollably during the five minutes her mother was allowed to visit her.” The family said they were concerned about mistreatment by authorities and the conditions surrounding her confinement, said Sam Khosravi, the apostate woman’s brother-in-law:
“Mojdeh’s mother goes to the court every day to pursue the case and asks the judge to release her. She went to the court today [Sept. 20], and after a lot of begging, the judge allowed her to see Mojdeh…. Psychologically, she is in a very bad condition and only cries… We worry and wonder why they have kept her for such a long time.”
The family believes she is being “intensely interrogated” to reveal other clandestine converts to Christianity. After saying that “Relatives most fear that Iranian authorities are brutalizing Falahi in a way that could leave her psychologically scarred for life,” the report cites the experiences of her brother-in-law, Khosravi, and other relatives who were also arrested in 2019:
“Khosravi said the main goal of detention isn’t always punishment or even to gather information, but to break a prisoner at such a fundamental level that they are shattered permanently. The intent is to force them to renounce their faith or to spread said a fellow Christian had been so badly treated that she refused to enter church sites even years after her release. *** Another Christian, forced to listen to the cries of a woman screaming in a near-by cell, was convinced by guards that it was his wife being raped repeatedly, he said.”
“It’s all about humiliation,” Khosravi said. “There will be things in their mind and heart they will never get over.”
Pakistan: On Sept. 18, a Christian mother of four was sentenced to death on a “blasphemy” conviction. Shagufta Kiran, 40, was arrested in 2021 for allegedly sharing content deemed offensive to the Islamic prophet, Muhammad, in her WhatsApp in 2020. Three years after being tried, she was convicted under Section 295-C of Pakistan’s penal code, which carries a mandatory death sentence for anyone who insults Muhammad. According to her attorney Rana Abdul Hameed,
“The complaint against Kiran was registered by a Muslim named Shiraz Ahmed Farooqi, who alleged that she had shared content disrespectful of Islam’s prophet. However, Kiran has maintained that she has not authored the content and had forwarded it in the WhatsApp group without reading it.”
The reason she was handed the death sentence has less to do with actual evidence and everything to do with extremist pressure groups, Hameed said:
“If you examine all cases of 295-C, the trial courts tend to convict the accused even if the cases against them are very weak. This is due to the pressure of the religious groups and fears of mob violence. If you analyze all cases of 295-C, you will see that all the convictions of the trial court are overturned by the superior courts.”
“Nearly 3,000 persons have been accused of blasphemy in Pakistan since 1987… [H]undreds of accused were incarcerated last year in Pakistan, with 552 detained in prisons in Punjab Province alone. At least 350 persons remained behind bars as of June … [and]103 new persons had been accused of blasphemy this year between January and June…. [A]t least seven persons accused of blasphemy have been killed by individuals or mobs across Pakistan since January. A total of 94 people accused of blasphemy were killed in mob attacks between 1994 and 2023.”
Uganda: On Friday, Sept. 20, Muslims beat a Christian evangelist, leaving him with several injuries, including to the head, that required hospitalization. Robertson Eriot, 41, and fellow evangelist Kefa Mukisa, 25, were visiting homes and sharing the Gospel. When they entered the home of an Islamic leader, and began talking to his attendants, “Sheikh Kalimu who was inside the house heard our conversation—he was angered and came out furiously,” said Mukisa: “He ordered his boys and other Muslims who had come for Islamic fellowship to come out of the room and to discipline us.” After The sheikh cried out in a loud voice, “These are Christians who are out to convert our people to a wrong religion.” Immediately,
“a number of people came out of the house shouting the jihadist slogan, ‘Allah Akbar [Allah is the greatest].’ Since the gate was closed, we decided to jump over the fence…. Unfortunately, Eriot was caught up before he was able to escape over the fence.”
Later, after Mukisa had rounded other Christians for help,
“We entered the homestead, and we found Eriot half-dead in a pool of blood. We were able to rush him to the nearby clinic for treatment. Eriot suffered deep head injuries, a fractured left hand and bruises near the thigh of his right leg.”
Yemen: On Sept. 23, an interview was published surrounding the plight of the Christians in Yemen. Badr, a Yemeni Catholic woman born in the 1980s and living in Aden, said how in middle school she “experienced harsh challenges related to my faith and to the loss of our rights.” Things especially worsened after the Muslim Brotherhood came into power in the 1990s, she added:
“We were forced to wear the hijab. The government officially prohibited us from celebrating midnight Mass on Christmas and New Year’s Eve. Christians accepted the situation and did not raise their voices. Some emigrated, others changed their religion, fearing to lose their homes and jobs. Many practiced their faith behind closed doors at a time when the Church did not support young people or work on strengthening families… After 1994, the authorities tried to make Yemen an Islamic state. They wiped out our identity as Christians and refused to write ‘Christian’ on documents. Christians had to write either ‘Muslim’ or leave a blank space. They accused us of being ‘remnants of British colonialism’ and said that ‘the United States funds us.’ Teachers pressured me to change my religion and forced me to read the Quran daily. When I got full marks in Islamic education, they would reduce my grades, because they told me ‘a Christian couldn’t be equal to a Muslim.’… After being banned from praying [due to the closure of all churches in 2015], we started praying secretly in the convent of the nuns. Unfortunately, all the nuns were later killed. The priest was kidnapped. The churches were stolen, and some were vandalized…. In 2018, the authorities refused to renew our passports unless we wrote the word ‘Islam’ in the religion section of the application form, as we were told: ‘There are no Christians in Yemen.'”

The Scofield Reference Bible, published in 1909, played a significant role in shaping Christian Zionism in America. Cyrus I. Scofield, a lawyer and politician, was commissioned by wealthy Zionists, including Samuel Untermeyer, to write notes and commentary for the Bible. These notes were designed to promote a pro-Zionist interpretation of Scripture, influencing millions of American evangelicals to support the modern State of Israel.
Scofield’s Unorthodox Exegesis Scofield’s annotations on Genesis 12:3, “I will bless them that bless thee,” were particularly influential. He interpreted this verse as a promise to bless nations that support Israel, rather than simply blessing Abraham’s descendants. This reading was radical and departed from traditional Christian understanding. Scofield’s commentary created a false equivalence between the ancient Israelites and the modern State of Israel, ignoring the significant differences between the two.
The Perverted Scripture
The Scofield Reference Bible’s Zionist bias was further amplified by its publication in 1967, 20 years after Scofield’s death. The Oxford University Press, under the influence of Zionist interests, incorporated Scofield’s notes into the 4th edition of the Scofield Study Bible. This edition deified the State of Israel, making it a divine entity, and justified its actions as fulfilling biblical prophecy.

This emerging front of the New Cold War will likely see the Sino-Russo Entente more closely coordinate against the US-led West there.
Africa is increasingly figuring into major countries’ and organizations’ discussions due to its growing importance in global affairs. The UN expects that more than half of the world’s population growth by the 2050 will occur on that continent, with the number of people in sub-Saharan Africa doubling by then. This will open up new market and labor opportunities alongside the existing resource ones that have already attracted international interest, but it’ll also lead to developmental and humanitarian challenges.
The Kazan Declaration that was just agreed to during the last BRICS Summit speaks highly about helping and empowering Africa during this transformational period, but these countries – whether as a whole, through minilaterals, or bilaterally – will inevitably have to compete with the US there. The latter’s grand strategy takes several forms that’ll be briefly described in this analysis, but it altogether aims to impede others’ efforts to mutually benefit from these processes while exploiting Africa as much as possible.
The most visible manifestation of this strategy is the continued provisioning of humanitarian aid, which sounds noble at first glance but is actually driven by ulterior motives. This form of support has been weaponized over the decades to cultivate and co-opt corrupt elites in order to institutionalize relationships of dependence that are difficult for recipient countries to liberate themselves from. The purpose is to create levers of influence that can be wielded to legitimize lopsided deals with the West.
BRICS – which from here on out refers to either the group as a whole, minilaterals therein, or individual members – can counteract this by assisting their African partners with agricultural development so that they eventually become less reliant on American aid. Major grain producers like Russia can also provide more of their own no-strings-attached aid during the interim. A balance must be struck between meeting immediate needs and moving countries closer to self-sufficiency over the long term.
The next way in which US strategy towards Africa manifests itself is through the “Africa Growth and Opportunity Act” (AGOA) that allows for duty-free trade between them. The downside to this arrangement is that the US has removed countries like Ethiopia and Mali from it as punishment for them refusing to comply with its political demands. In other words, while there are certainly some economic benefits to be had from this arrangement, they can be cut off if countries don’t do what the US wants.
BRICS’ response has been to liberalize trade and investment with Africa as a whole, which is easier than ever due to the creation of the “Africa Continental Free Trade Area” (AfCFTA). China leads the way in this respect due to its much larger and more developed economy relative to other BRICS members, but Russia, India, and the UAE are also making important strides in this direction too. The goal is to diversify these countries’ trade partnerships so that they’re not destabilized if the US kicks them out of AGOA.
Building upon the trade dimension of this strategy is the financial one wherein the US takes advantage of the West’s leading role in global financial institutions like the IMF and World Bank to offer strings-attached loans to desperate countries. These are then weaponized to further entrench their lopsided trade and investment ties while also coercing their leaders into making certain political concessions. The end result is that recipient countries lose more of their sovereignty and risk socio-political unrest.
China has taken the lead among BRICS countries in providing no-strings-attached loans through its Belt & Road Initiative (BRI) to finance mutually beneficial megaprojects and help struggling countries avoid Western debt traps of the sort described above. BRICS’ rising role as a financial actor in its own right, particularly with regard to the New Development Bank that it created, could complement these efforts to counteract claims that African states are just trading Western dependence for Chinese dependence.
Moving along, the US wants to guide Africa’s journey through the “Fourth Industrial Revolution”/“Great Reset” (4IR/GR) by bringing the entire continent online through December 2022’s “Digital Transformation with Africa” (DTA) initiative. The Carnegie Endowment’s report from March 2024 noted that not much had been done with its promised $800 million by then, but if any progress is made and this isn’t just a slush fund or PR stunt, then it would likely lead to continental-wide digital surveillance.
African countries could take a page out of Russia’s and some other BRICS members’ playbooks by passing laws about data localization, which prohibits sending users’ data abroad. That’s not a silver-bullet solution to digital surveillance but it provides the best balance possible between much-needed foreign digital investment into (in this case developing) economies and national security. In parallel, Africa countries should court such investment from BRICS states, with China already being a prime partner.
Resource extraction is another element of the US’ grand strategy towards Africa, which is being prioritized through the Lobito Corridor that was unveiled by the US and the EU in September 2023 for facilitating the export of Southern African minerals to the Western market. This region is rich in copper, lithium, and other resources that are indispensable for the 4IR/GR in which the US and China are fiercely competing to shape the contours of the future global economy.
The most surefire way to ensure that mineral-rich African countries aren’t exploited is to emulate Tanzania’s 2017 “National Wealth And Resources (Permanent Sovereignty) Act” that forbade the export of raw materials for processing. This is meant to encourage the construction of a domestic processing industry to add value to these exports and provide jobs for its burgeoning population. Global costs will rise if enough countries copy this policy, but it would be for the betterment of their own people.
Segueing into the more nefarious forms of US grand strategy towards Africa, observers can’t forget about the numerous information warfare campaigns that it’s waging across the continent. These are aimed at discrediting its rivals like Russia, stoking inter-state discord such as between BRICS members Ethiopia and Egypt for instance, and exacerbating preexisting internal (usually identity-centric) differences in order to destabilize fragile states through HybridWarfare as punishment for not capitulating to the US’ demands.
Better “Pre-Bunking, Media Literacy, & Democratic Security” policies are the only way to enhance the defenses of targeted states and societies, but they’ll take time to be applied even in the best-case scenario so some trouble is bound to follow these campaigns. Reputational damage to BRICS countries can be mitigated through counteroperations, inter-state discord can be managed through BRICS mediation, while internal conflicts might require security assistance from some BRICS states.
The last point directly leads to the next form in which the US’ grand strategy towards Africa manifests itself, namely through the waging of proxy wars like what’s happening in the Sahel. Mali, Burkina Faso, and Niger expelled French and US forces over the past few years, formed an alliance prior to exploring a confederation, and were then targeted by more foreign-backed terrorist and separatist attacks. France and the US are working hand-in-hand together with Ukraine to punish those three countries for this.
Russia has taken the lead in helping its new regional partners through the deployment of military advisors and PMCs via a strategy that was elaborated on here for those who’d like to learn about it. Other BRICS countries can help with arms exports and intelligence support if they have the capabilities and will to do so, though most don’t and are instead expected to sit on the sidelines of these proxy wars. If they intensify, then it can’t be ruled out that some formal Western military intervention might follow.
Therein lies the final form of US grand strategy, direct military action against African countries, which is employed on a case-by-case basis whose motives widely vary from Somalia to Libya. The infamous AFRICOM organizes such activities that are greatly facilitated by the archipelago of American bases, including unofficial ones, that spread across the continent since 2001. The current focus on the Sahel might lead to new drone bases in the Ivory Coast from which to “surgically strike” targets in the north.
Once again, Russia is the only BRICS state that has the capabilities and will to counteract these threats, which it could do by empowering its partners (including non-state ones) to retaliate against those states that host US bases and/or target those facilities directly. The NATO-Russian proxy war in Ukraine could also be intensified as an asymmetrical response to throw the West off balance, but the West could do the same to Russia as revenge for foiling its plans in Africa, thus linking these two New Cold War fronts.
The takeaway from this analysis is that BRICS has a key role to play in helping Africa defend itself from the US’ hegemonic plots, but only Russia will do so in a security sense while China’s economic support will remain unmatched. Accordingly, this emerging front of the New Cold War will likely see the Sino–RussoEntente more closely coordinate against the US-led West there, which’ll provide opportunities for other BRICS states like India to present themselves to African countries as reliable balancers.

What is beginning to emerge from the fog of the war being waged against the People of Southern Appalachia is an East Palestine-type of disaster, on a much more massive scale on every level; in magnitude, premeditation and evil.
The main purpose of this post is to warn people to stay away from the banks of the French Broad River and from any river downstream of heavy industry affected by these floodwaters, because several of the rescue/cadaver dogs have started dying from exposure to the toxins in the river sludge; from the plastics factory and paper mill that were overwhelmed by the breakneck flooding, along with several other fuel spills – horrifyingly, including a nuclear fuel spill from a semi truck found buried under 10 feet of mud, loaded with 250 55-gallon drums of “live barrels” of nuclear fuel rods from Nuclear Fuel Services (NFS), in Erwin, Tennessee.
One might ask what was a truck loaded with nuclear fuel rods even doing in a hurricane?
NFS also reportedly lost a 10,000 square-foot decontamination unit with all of their decontamination equipment, which were presumably washed into the Nolichucky River. Although the location of this truck and the location of the nuclear facility are not named by Grindestone Ministries’ Pastor Bear, the website linked above matches the company named in his report.
If my assumptions are correct, this nuclear fuel spill is downstream from Western North Carolina and it will not affect Asheville and the Appalachian Mountains to the east but it may affect the more densely-populated areas of the Tennessee Valley, downstream, along the Nolichucky and French Broad Rivers, including metropolitan Knoxville.
Needless to say, there is a massive cover-up underway.
The US Government could have offered these households $10 million each, to relocate, in order to get at the lithium deposits underneath their homes and still make untold billions of dollars but instead, they needed to do a massive Satanic sacrifice of rural white Republican voters. They needed to despoil some of the last remaining wilderness on the East Coast to make these batteries that are better at being explosive devices than at doing anything else, because these Satanists are at war with Life and with Creation, itself.
Lithium battery technology is not a viable alternative to carbon-based fuel. The entire boondoggle of lithium batteries is genocidal and ecocidal, by design.

My rental apartment was without power and water for three weeks and with very spotty communications, throughout. The people in this region know less, in many ways about the ravages of Hurricane Helene than people watching the news on the other side of the planet.

I’m told that Asheville’s water supply comes from the Black Mountain Reservoir and that they are using some kind of an aluminum compound to clarify the water in there The water is still yellowish and cloudy, coming out of my faucet. My area is still under a “Boil Water Notice: Partial System”.
I don’t know how much exposure I’ve received from the French Broad River from the two showers that I’ve now taken but I do know that the city’s water system did collapse, due to flooding from the French Broad River, so this highly-contaminated water did enter the city’s water infrastructure and it may actually be kicking around in my apartment’s pipes.
My problems do not compare with those of the tens of thousands of people who have literally lost everything, including the uncounted thousands who have lost their lives and whose deaths are now being covered-up, for legal reasons; for land-grab reasons.
As I was writing the paragraphs above, my internet connection went down again and I’m back on my mobile hotspot, so I will not transcribe the entire podcast but it is eye-opening, disturbing – and hopeful and uplifting – all at once.

Bear: This has been unlike any other deployment we’ve ever been on. Absolutely unprecedented. Number One, because a hurricane in Appalachia is unexpected, right? The topography was already challenging the communities we’re serving; were already isolated, intentionally. They wanted to be isolated. They wanted to live up on the side of the mountain, away from everybody else – and I get that and that’s fine.
That’s fine until you can’t get up the mountain, anymore; until the power turns off. So, it’s a huge logistical challenge.
And then, Number Two, this is the only – the only – disaster I’ve ever worked – and I’ve been doing this since Hurricane Katrina – it’s the only one I’ve ever worked that the Federal Government is actively working against recovery – and that’s exactly what I mean.
Typically, we accomplish recovery – and by “we”, I mean the American People accomplish recovery, in spite of the Government.
The Government never helps. They’ve never helped. They’re never going to help. That’s not their job. Their job, whether we admit it or not is to…extract capital from The People, to the best of their ability – and they do that.
This one is completely different. They’re actively working against the recovery process, which tells me they’ve got something to hide and I believe that they do have something to hide, because we’re already getting reports – firsthand reports of cadaver dogs that are dying; that were walking through these areas – walking, especially in your neck of the woods – walking through the silt, walking through the mud, even going through DECON afterwards – being decontaminated.
I’ve got reports, one guy had 10 dogs there and four of his dogs are already dead! And the other six are dying; in the process of dying.
Got another woman – firsthand account – that was rescuing horses, was leading horses through the muck and the mud in the river and the horses are so incredibly sick that they started doing blood tests on the horses and the tests that have been coming back – or in their words – literally, “Off the charts”. They’ve never seen anything like this before.
Then, you’ve got citizens – the last report I got in your area, it was 50 to 60 people in Western North Carolina that are already inexplicably sick and by “inexplicably” I mean, they don’t know what’s wrong with them and the reason for that is all kinds of sh!t has washed into that River.
Literal human feces from septic tanks that were ruptured, wastewater treatment plants thousands of cadavers, even though the official reporting is that, “No, it’s only 213 dead” – well, that conflicts with one coroner that I personally spoke with that had 1,200 people in Reaper trailers and another EMT that told me he was stacking body bags in the back of ambulances “like cordwood”, OK?
So the official number is 213 but there’s thousands of corpses in the rivers and underneath 20 to 30 foot of mud, in some areas, which is why the cadaver dogs are hitting on entire valleys – not just a spot or two – the entire valley is filled with bodies.
Then, you’ve got dead animals, then you’ve got wastewater treatment plants, septic tanks. You’ve got NFS – Nuclear Fuel Services that lost – well, the official reporting is they lost “training barrels”, right? Training barrels: 55 gallon drums that they use for training purposes – even though part of what we do on the Kaleb House side is very intelligence-driven and so, some of my Kaleb House guys came out for this Grindstone operation, because we needed intelligence.
Well, we spoke to the former training manager at NFS, who said, “Nope those aren’t training barrels, those are live barrels!”
And officially, the number was, “Well, it’s just one Live Barrel, then it was five live barrels then it was a semi load of 250 55-gallon drums and we know, because the semi was found and documented under 10 foot of mud.
So you’ve got nuclear fuel or waste fuels, you also have the facility at NFS, they said they lost a “pole barn” in the flooding. They didn’t. They lost a 10,000 square-foot decontamination unit – and all decontaminated parts and all the decontamination equipment washed into the river.
Then, you’ve got a PVC plant; you’ve got multiple concrete plants, all of which washed into the river.
And part of the problem, here is that there are hundreds of homes that should be condemned. And I’m not for the Government condemning people’s homes – but these people do not need to be mucking out their homes. They don’t need to be pulling out the insulation in the drywall down to bare studs and airing it out and starting over again – because the silt is deadly. The silt will kill you.
And FEMA has been slow-rolling this and, in conjunction with local and state Emergency Management has been slow-rolling the announcement that, “Hey, the silt will kill you,” because they want to cover-up what will likely be a massive conglomeration of giant lawsuits; class-action lawsuits against these people.
Also, FEMA is quietly trying to reclassify the hundred-year flood plain, based upon this, so that people can’t rebuild in these areas in the future.
And on the one hand, it’s their property, let them do what they want. On the other hand, the silt will kill you and these homes should have been condemned, immediately. They should have been bulldozed, immediately so that people weren’t rebuilding their homes, that are literally toxic – only to have them bulldozed, a week later by FEMA.
And so, the whole thing is just a freaking mess and it it makes me think, permaculture is my passion. That’s what you do. I don’t know, agriculturally how – what the methodology is to fix what happened, here but typically, a river overrunning its banks and depositing all that silt would be a good thing. That’s what we would want; all those nutrients being brought up from the river all that DECOMP that took place in the river, all that being deposited on the banks of the river, because we have all that fertilizer.
Now, well the problem is all of that’s toxic and I don’t know the methodology for fixing all of that but I do feel like, because of what’s underneath the ground, in…Western North Carolina Eastern Tennessee – that whole region, the geologic feature of that region, there’s a strong case to be made that the cleanup operation that will be undertaken by the Federal Government will be akin to a strip-mining operation, to allow access to the minerals that are underground.
And if they can seize all of that land, under the guise of “You can’t live here anymore, because it’s toxic and we got to clean it up; bring in the bulldozers, scrape it all up into piles. “Hey a lithium seam! Sputamine seams, the graphene, the high-silica quartz!” – all that stuff.
All of a sudden, it’s available and these mines that were going to be spun-up, anyway, in North Carolina’s efforts to lean into the Green New Deal in Renewable Energy, in light of the fact that the United States has lost its access to those types of minerals in Afghanistan, due to the Biden administration’s Afghan draw-down and we’ve lost access to those types of minerals out of Africa, due to BRICS: Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Saudi Arabia etc.
Did they make the disaster happen? Or did they let it happen? I don’t know. I’m just a dude from Oklahoma.
But as a result, I can see things lining up in such a way that “Never let a crisis go to waste”. Sure, they’ll come in and clean it up and the cleanup will actually be a strip-mining operation.
And so, I’d be curious from you, if you have any thoughts on what do you do to remediate something like this, from a permaculture standpoint? Is this – do we plant trillions of hemp plants and just let them suck the stuff up out of the ground?
Billy: Bear we’re on it, right now. It’s funny, you ask. Before we get into that, before I respond to that, Folks, look we got a lot of folks in the chat, right now. Was 42, but two of those people committed suicide, because they didn’t want to play, anymore, because that neighborhood; that community has been intentionally cut off by the local government. Why? Because there’s lithium underneath of the mountain they live on. But I digress.

Billy: OK, Bear to your point – and I got a whole series of other questions, that I know a number of other people out there do, as well – to your point: is there a permaculture solution to this? Absolutely. We’re already working on it.
I got a team going right now. William is on his way…He’s got, I guess one of your Geiger Counters. He’s going to stop by the River, hopefully, if he’s able to do it where I am and we’re going to get some better readings.
Because, as you said, I’m working on a site where, so far, we’ve had 50 to 60 people hospitalized. We’ve had two dogs dead – that we know of – a lady lost half of her goat flock, all because they were down in that silt.
Now is there a permaculture solution? Absolutely.
Historically, a lot of folks somebody wrote here, “An American Chernobyl” and I got it on the screen. Well, here’s a story about a lot of what happened in Chernobyl, that people don’t know about: the one place from that time until this day; the one place in Chernobyl that was unaffected by any of the radiation that happened there, believe it or not, it was actually the place where they…advanced Windrow Composting, so we know that biology will eat up all this stuff.
Specifically, we know you got nematodes, protozoa, fungi, bacteria – all these things; this soil food web and if we put it in the right proportions, we know that there is not a single toxin on this Earth, that we know of – including radiation – that cannot be bio-remediated so I’ve got a team, right now, [with] one of the world’s best experts in this and I’m putting together like a Dream Team of all these different people that can help bio-remediate this stuff.
And yes, part of it could, very well be hemp, because I mean, one of the beauties about hemp is that it will suck all of the toxins out of there but there’s a whole host of other things that we’re going to plant, hopefully alongside the riverbank.
And here’s the best part: I ain’t asking permission. We’re going to go out there and do it. I know some people are going to come down on us like Thor’s Hammer but I’m not caring. “Jimmy cracked corn and I don’t care!”I’m not asking permission!
There’s one of these communities that’s right alongside the river that’s downstream of all the said toxins you were just discussing a moment ago; kids have been out there.
These communities are right on the river they have children and they’re out there, doing this stuff…one of Bear’s guys, he hooked me up with is one of the people that’s going to be helping us bio-remediate this stuff.
But Folks – here’s why I teach composting so much, is because if there’s anybody in Western North Carolina that makes better compost, biocomplete compost than us, I don’t know who that is, so we’re going to take our compost, we’re going to combine it with all of these other, Hippie mushroom farmers, that work around here, we’re going to take that, we’re going to put down cover crops, we’re going to use teas, extracts, we are bringing every dog to the hunt.
But the one big area where we’re struggling, right now – and this is from Bear’s expert – I’m not sure he wants to be named right now – the guy you sent me to – I couldn’t believe that me and this guy are speaking the same language and he’s working on bio-remediations in Hawaii and of course, if you go through the Government, they’re going to give you all kinds of this and that, that and this.
Well, guess what? We’re going to take a test plot; it’s probably going to be in Marshall, North Carolina ain’t asking for permission and we’re just going to do it.
And then, once we have an example of what can be done using what God put on this Planet – we’re not talking about chemicals or anything – we’re talking about using nature, like I said: bacteria fungi, nematodes, protozoa – the entire food web. We’re going out there and we’re going to remediate this stuff and we’re going to get people better. We’re going to even, as best we can, to try to remediate what’s going on in that river.
Keep praying and keep making your preps, it will get worse from here on out. Israel is determined to have their big war in order to bring about their Messiah who is the Antichrist. God has other plans. Blessings to you all.
Meanwhile Russia, China, N. Korea are all siding with Iran and for this TOP SECRET report to leak out, someone in the US is not happy with Israel’s plan. Prayed up and prepped up, time is definitely short.
Non-nuclear Iran is incapable of existentially threatening the US like nuclear-armed Russia could.
Politico cited a senior Senate aid and two sources in the Biden Administration to report on Wednesday that the US is much more afraid of an uncontrollable escalation sequence with Russia than with Iran due to the first’s nuclear capabilities. As proof of this, the US has no qualms about shooting down Iranian missiles launched against Israel but won’t consider shooting down Russian ones launched against Ukraine, which has upset Zelensky and some of his compatriots who thus feel like second-class allies.
The difference between Russia/Ukraine and Iran/Israel in this regard accounts for the US’ different approach towards each pair. As was explained last month in this analysis about why “Putin Explicitly Confirmed What Was Already Self-Evident About Russia’s Nuclear Doctrine”, the comparatively more pragmatic policymakers who still have the final say in Russia and the US have thus far managed to avoid the uncontrollable escalation sequence that their respective hawkish rivals want. Here’s how they did it:
“[The US hawks’] comparatively more pragmatic rivals who still call the shots always signal their escalatory intentions far in advance so that Russia could prepare itself and thus be less likely to ‘overreact’ in some way that risks World War III. Likewise, Russia continues restraining itself from replicating the US’ ‘shock-and-awe’ campaign in order to reduce the likelihood of the West ‘overreacting’ by directly intervening in the conflict to salvage their geopolitical project and thus risking World War III.
It can only be speculated whether this interplay is due to each’s permanent military, intelligence, and diplomatic bureaucracies (‘deep state’) behaving responsibly on their own considering the enormity of what’s at stake or if it’s the result of a ‘gentlemen’s agreement’. Whatever the truth may be, the aforesaid model accounts for the unexpected moves or lack thereof from each, which are the US correspondingly telegraphing its escalatory intentions and Russia never seriously escalating in kind.”
There’s no equivalent balance of nuclear power between the US and Iran, with the most that Iran can do is launch saturation strikes against American bases in the region, not existentially threaten it like Russia can. If Iran’s potential retaliation to Israel’s expected strike harms or kills some of the nearly 100-member team operating the US’ THAAD in the self-professed Jewish State, then the US could either take the hit, retaliate against Iranian-aligned Resistance groups in the region, or strike the Islamic Republic.
Regardless of whatever might happen, non-nuclear Iran is incapable of existentially threatening the US like nuclear-armed Russia could if the latter retaliated to the interception of its missiles by hitting targets inside of NATO, which could easily catalyze a possibly apocalyptic escalation sequence. To be sure, there are indeed some US hawks who want to risk that scenario and the abovementioned comparatively less consequential one in West Asia, but their more pragmatic rivals are still able to stop them for now.
Editors Note: We know Iran has nuclear weapons (and have had them since 1992) and today I found out that they may have even better weaponry than that to use against Israel. You can find that information at RT. Whether it’s true or not remains to be seen but if it is then expect widespread destruction in Israel when Iran retaliates. It sounds like some kind of kinetic energy weapon.
In my humble opinion I believe the dangers to be equal in magnitude but as for how the US government sees it who knows? We can only guess what they’re thinking at any given time. Johnny
