While its important to study and understand the old covenant we no longer follow it as there is no more temple, no sacrifices and no priesthood. The temple was destroyed in 70AD but the veil was torn at the death of Christ. The tearing of the veil in the temple at the moment of Jesus’ death holds profound theological significance. It symbolizes the removal of the barrier between God and humanity, signifying that direct access to God is now available to all people through Jesus’ sacrifice. The laws of Moses no longer apply!
For the law, having a shadow of the good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with these same sacrifices, which they offer continually year by year, make those who approach perfect. 2For then would they not have ceased to be offered? Please stop sending me links telling me I have to not only accept the grace of Christ at the cross but that I also have to follow the laws of Moses, aka the OLD covenant in order to be saved. The Jews haven’t followed the old covenant in a very long time, they follow the Talmud and Kabballah now and as they did in the time of Christ. That is why He condemned their man made traditions in Matthew 23. I will leave you with Galatians 3: 1-14.
