The Gloves Are Off: ICE, Electric Shock Weapons and Secret Police

Police officers escort a detained protester during a city demonstration

By John W. Whitehead and Nisha Whitehead at Global Research. Reposted with permission.

This is what comes of giving a lawless agency unlimited funds to build detention centers, terrorize communities, and act as a secret police force.

Anything goes.

Masked raids. Unmarked vehicles. Warrantless arrests. Racial profiling. Sweeping surveillance. Detention camps. Excessive force. Citizens dragged off the streets. Protesters targeted. Congressional oversight obstructed.

Now add electric shock gloves to the arsenal.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement is preparing to spend as much as $20 million to equip its agents with thousands of gloves capable of delivering painful electric shocks through direct contact with a person’s skin.

The devices are called G.L.O.V.E.s—Generated Low Output Voltage Emitters—and the government has dressed them up in the predictably sanitized language of the police state as “conductive distraction and de-escalation devices.”

Don’t be fooled by the benign-sounding euphemisms.

These are pain-compliance weapons.

ICE agents wearing the gloves will be able to touch a person’s exposed skin and deliver an electric shock intended to compel obedience.

White House border czar Tom Homan has been remarkably candid about the purpose: “It’s another device to help someone get compliant when they are not.”

There is that word again: compliance.

It has become one of the most dangerous words in the vocabulary of the American police state.

Increasingly, government agents are being taught—and the public conditioned to accept—that refusal to immediately comply with a government agent’s command is sufficient justification for force.

Question an officer. Hesitate. Pull away. Protest. Demand to know why you are being detained. Refuse to surrender your phone. Attempt to record an arrest. Insist on your constitutional rights. Fail to obey quickly enough.

The government’s answer is increasingly the same: comply or die—comply or suffer the consequences.

Now those consequences may come through the touch of a gloved hand.

The Trump administration insists that these shock gloves offer ICE agents a less lethal alternative to guns, tasers and pepper spray. But that is not the real choice confronting us.

The question is whether an agency with ICE’s record of abuse, secrecy and constitutional violations should be entrusted with yet another tool that makes it easier to inflict pain in order to force submission.

The problem is not merely the weapon. The problem is who will be wearing it.

This is an agency whose detention centers remain largely closed to public scrutiny, whose internal reports have obscured or omitted serious uses of force, and whose agents have repeatedly operated in ways that make meaningful public accountability difficult.

Meanwhile, ICE has built an expansive surveillance dragnet incorporating facial recognition, license plate readers, cellphone tracking and massive databases capable of locating and monitoring people across the country.

Put all of these pieces together and the picture should disturb Americans regardless of their views on immigration.

This is no longer merely an immigration enforcement bureaucracy.

It is the architecture of a national police force.

And increasingly, ICE is being positioned to serve the role that secret police forces have historically served in authoritarian systems: operating with extraordinary powers, obscured identities, limited accountability, and a broad mandate to identify, track, detain and remove people whom the government has designated as undesirable.

History teaches that authoritarian governments do not begin with death camps and firing squads.

They begin by normalizing powers that once would have been considered intolerable.

They begin by identifying a population that can be stripped of rights with minimal political consequences. They begin by convincing citizens that extraordinary government powers are necessary because the people being targeted are dangerous, criminal, foreign or undeserving. They begin by making government agents harder to identify and harder to hold accountable. They begin by expanding detention. They begin by expanding surveillance. They begin by lowering the threshold for the use of force.

And they teach the public that obedience is the price of safety.

ICE is serving as the prototype for what a much broader system of authoritarian enforcement could look like.

Immigrants may be the government’s primary targets today. They will not necessarily be the only targets tomorrow.

The constitutional danger has never depended on whether one sympathizes with the first people subjected to government abuse. The question is whether we allow the government to acquire powers that can eventually be turned against anyone.

Once the government normalizes masked federal agents carrying out warrantless sweeps, what prevents those tactics from being used in the name of fighting drugs? Or terrorism? Or political extremism? Or civil unrest? Or public health emergencies? Or whatever crisis comes next?

Once the government builds massive databases capable of tracking people’s movements and associations, those systems do not disappear when immigration enforcement changes. Once detention infrastructure is built, it can be repurposed. Once federal agencies are allowed to operate outside meaningful oversight, restoring those restraints becomes extraordinarily difficult.

Once Americans accept the principle that government agents may inflict pain merely to secure “compliance,” the Constitution has already lost critical ground.

And once anything goes in the name of immigration enforcement, there is little to prevent those same powers from being repurposed in the name of the next crisis.

ICE’s electric shock gloves are merely the latest manifestation of a far more dangerous philosophy that says government knows best. That government commands must be obeyed. That government agents should be feared rather than questioned. That constitutional rights become negotiable whenever officials invoke public safety. That accountability is an inconvenience. And that force is an acceptable substitute for consent.

This is precisely the mentality the Constitution was intended to restrain.

The Fourth Amendment does not say obey first and challenge the government later.

The First Amendment does not protect only speech that government agents find agreeable.

The Fifth Amendment does not permit government to dispense with due process because officials have decided someone probably does not belong here.

And the Constitution contains no exception allowing government agents to punish people simply because they fail to show sufficient deference.

Yet that is the direction in which the American police state continues to move.

As we make clear in Battlefield America: The War on the American People and its fictional counterpart The Erik Blair Diaries, every expansion of government power comes wrapped in assurances that it will be used sparingly, responsibly and only against people who deserve it.

Then the definition of who deserves it expands.

Government power does not police itself. Neither will ICE.

The gloves are off.

The question now is how much more power Americans are willing to place in the government’s hands before we finally recognize what is being built around us.

Congress Moving Bill Forward To Criminalize Criticizing Israel

woman lying on her back covering her mouth with a marked hand

It’s not just the Noahide laws or Sharia law that we need to be concerned about. Now we have the US Congress moving forward a bill to criminalize speech that’s critical of Israel under the guise of combatting antisemitism.

Writing for The UNZ Review, Eric Striker reports:

In May and June, a bipartisan coalition of 15 House Republicans and 14 Democrats formally sponsored the Jewish American Security Act (JASA), a piece of legislation that if passed would constitute one of the most sweeping attacks on the First Amendment in American history. The bill enjoys practically universal backing from Jewish non-profits and Zionist activist groups.

The new law presents four major demands: the appointment of a specialized Anti-Semitism commissar to manage the Department of Education’s campaign combating pro-Palestinian activism on college campuses, a $1 billion cash injection to “secure” Zionist non-profits and Jewish houses of worship, mandatory state monitoring of online social media platforms in order to force them to censor “anti-Semitic” political speech on their platforms, and officially reorienting the mission of the FBI, Department of Homeland Security, and National Counterintelligence and Security Center as instruments for targeting critics of Jews and Israel as foreign enemy actors and domestic terrorists.

If passed, JASA would represent a militarization of American-Jewish life, which contrary to claims from Jewish grievance groups, is no more susceptible to bias or violent interference than Christian worship. In 2025, 24 people were killed in homicidal attacks targeting Christians across the nation to practically no media fanfare, including a massacre at a Mormon church in Michigan and a shooting of several Catholic children hearing mass in Minnesota.

Most concerning is JASA’s requirement that online social media companies provide mandatory reports every six months to Congress on anti-Semitic and anti-Israel opinions being shared on their platforms, outline their strategies for content removal and suppression, as well as coordinate with federal law enforcement in real time to combat what the bill’s authors judge as “extremist antisemitic calls.

Such a law, if passed, would treat figures as prominent as Tucker Carlson, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Megyn Kelly, Thomas Massie, Ana Kasparian, Ilhan Omar and Candace Owens, as well as many smaller critics that have arisen in recent years, as terrorists and enemies of the state.

Also don’t forget that the U.S. Congress is ready to vote in favor of Section 219 this week to merge the United States military with the Israeli military, against the will of the American people. And you guys want to tell me that your vote counts. What a crock of sh*t. If you can’t see the truth about voting by now I don’t know what else to tell you.

Also in today’s video we discuss the fake conspiracy theories circulating about Putin and Lindsay Graham, and why they’re not believable or plausible.

KIDS Act: A Threat to Internet Privacy and Free Speech

black android smartphone on top of white book

They always use the children to justify their evil deeds. If they really wanted to protect kids they would arrest the rich and powerful in the Epstein files including Trump. The fact that they don’t enforce their own laws regarding pedophiles should tell you all you need to know about these Satanic, perverted, and twisted clowns. This legislation is nothing more than a thinly veiled disguise to destroy anonimity on the internet. They want to watch everything you say, do or type online so it’s easier to find you and arrest you. It has nothing to do with protecting kids.

Congress passes KIDS Act

Blurring the Lines between the Civilian Economy and Military Industry”. Speed up Military Ops: Pentagon integrating Commercial Cloud Networks and AI

Military command center with personnel monitoring drones and holographic battlefield maps

By Drago Bosnik at Global Research. Reposted with permission.

The configuration of the American economy has always allowed the integration of the commercial sector and military industry.

Precisely this fusion of a purely profit-driven economy and the United States Armed Forces created the infamous Military Industrial Complex (MIC).

The warmongering oligarchy running Washington DC still uses these mechanisms to conduct its aggression against the entire world and will continue to do so for as long as possible. In order to accelerate the MIC’s numerous projects, the American government, or more specifically the Department of War (DoW), is leveraging the rapidly growing advanced AI and cloud networks industry in the commercial sector.

According to a report by Interesting Engineering, the Pentagon recently “awarded Parallel Works, an Illinois-based software company spun out of Argonne National Laboratory, a contract to provide a unified platform that connects military supercomputing centers with secure commercial cloud infrastructure”. Granted under the DoW’s High Performance Computing Modernization Program (HPCMP), the new contract with Parallel Works allows Pentagon scientists, engineers and acquisition professionals to access both on-premises and cloud-based commercial computing resources through a single interface, effectively unifying the company with the DoW.

The goal of the program is to accelerate R&D and deployment of high-performance computing (HPC) and AI workloads for military research and operations. Parallel Works will use its ACTIVATE High Security Platform (HSP) to serve as the control plane linking Defense Supercomputing Resource Centers (DSRCs) with commercial cloud networks. The company stated that its platform is “designed to let users move workloads across environments while maintaining security requirements for sensitive data”, adding that “researchers will be able to test and deploy workloads on emerging cloud infrastructure before those capabilities are integrated into the DoW’s supercomputing centers”.

In simpler terms, the commercial sector will now effectively act as part of not just the MIC, but the Pentagon itself, thus blurring the lines between the civilian economy and military industry. This sort of integration can only be described as total militarization and could set a precedent that might soon become the rule. In fact, ACTIVATE has been approved at Impact Level 5 (IL5), which the report describes as “one of the highest security classifications for non-classified DoW cloud environments”. Parallel Works says that it’s “among a small number of software platforms approved to handle export-controlled workloads, including International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI)”.

“AI-driven warfare and the ramp to digital modernization are demanding far more model-sharing options than legacy infrastructure can provide,” said Keith Obenschain, Chief Technology Officer at HPCMP.

And indeed, the report notes that the system is “intended to address growing demand for computing power driven by AI development, simulation workloads and digital modernization programs across the military”. Militarizing advanced AI and other emerging technologies (primarily for surveillance) is one of the Pentagon’s fastest-growing initiatives. The US military is now using such advances on a tactical, operational, strategic and even doctrinal level, including in nuclear weapons, pushing the world to the edge of a disaster (advanced AI programs have proven to almost always opt for nuclear war). However, the Pentagon is unconcerned and continues to integrate AI.

The report also states that the ACTIVATE platform “offers on-demand access to cloud compute resources, allowing users to avoid traditional queue delays associated with shared supercomputing systems” and enables organizations to “expand computing capacity by distributing workloads across multiple environments and cloud providers”. In other words, military personnel take priority, effectively nullifying the civilian character of these companies and their products. Worse yet, Parallel Works says that “users will have access to cloud infrastructure from providers including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud and Oracle Cloud”.

This would effectively militarize the entire US IT sector (the world’s largest), fully integrating it with the Pentagon. Thus, this process doesn’t even risk becoming the Pandora’s box, because it’s already wide open. Namely, faced with diminishing conventional military power, the US is now trying to (ab)use the digital domain in an attempt to ensure and maintain its global dominance. In doing so, Washington DC is forcing the rest of the world to develop its own equivalents as well, thereby accelerating AI militarization on a global scale. Other countries with massive IT sectors, such as Russia, China, India, etc., will have no choice but to integrate them with their militaries.

Laughably enough, the mainstream propaganda machine claims that the commercial sector will also benefit from this, with reports that “the Naval Research Laboratory has already implemented the ACTIVATE platform to support weather forecasting workloads”. Parallel Works insists that “the system automates forecasting workflows while securely coordinating computing resources across defense and cloud environments”, with this approach serving to “improve reliability, speed up processing and help redistribute workloads when demand spikes”. The very idea that weather forecasts were part of the motivation to integrate the commercial sector with the Pentagon is beyond ridiculous.

However, this is simply a rather pitiful attempt to present the initiative as going both ways, although it’s perfectly clear that the DoW needs more computing power than the civilian sector. Namely, the Pentagon deals with far more advanced military technologies that require enormous workloads. By integrating commercial AI and cloud networks, the US military redistributes those workloads, thus speeding up projects and even battlefield operations (both directly and indirectly). In fact, Matthew Shaxted, CEO of Parallel Works, said so himself. According to his assessment, the HPCMP contract allows ACTIVATE to “support a broad range of mission-critical HPC and AI workloads across the DoW teams”.

The company also stated that “the environment can serve as a secure testing ground for AI development tools and next-generation cloud architectures before they are adopted within the DoW’s existing supercomputing infrastructure”.

In simpler terms, the commercial sector will effectively serve as a “digital guinea pig” for the Pentagon. The contract with Parallel Works demonstrates continued integration of the US military with the civilian sector. The report admits that “it combines traditional supercomputing resources with commercial cloud services as AI models and data-intensive applications continue to increase computing requirements across defense operations”.

Orwellian Nightmare: UK Confirmed to have “A Secretive Thought Police”. Towards a Totalitarian Government

Cybernetic humanoid with glowing brain and laser eyes scanning and analyzing data

By Drago Bosnik from Global Research. Reposted with permission.

Nearly 80 years after George Orwell wrote “1984”, Western media still use it to describe totalitarian governments and societies, particularly if they’re non-Western.

The general premise used by the mainstream propaganda machine is that Orwell was writing about others and that his works could never be used to describe “democratic” countries of the political West.

And yet, it seems not even he could have ever dreamed about the levels of dictatorial control his own homeland would be subjected to. Namely, the extent to which the United Kingdom has descended into darkness is not exactly easy to put into words. The level of control exerted by the British government is beyond the worst of Orwell’s nightmares and now includes what can only be described as “thought police”.

In a typically bureaucratic manner, the secretive police unit engaged in sanctioning these “thought crimes” is called the Research, Information and Communications Unit (RICU). It has come under the spotlight in recent days and weeks after a string of crimes across the UK, with the government responding not to the actual crimes, but to those calling for the perpetrators to be held accountable. RICU has been caught advising police to portray everyone protesting the rise in crime as “raging racists”. Worse yet, police are now arresting “the worst offenders” (i.e., regular people who voiced their concerns online or in public). Any criticism of the British government and its decades-long failed migration policies is presented as “right-wing extremism”.

The brutal crackdown on protesters comes amid protests after a migrant attacked Stephen Ogilvie in Belfast.

Ogilvie is a man with special needs who was nearly decapitated by an immigrant. The incident was caught on video and sparked outrage across Northern Ireland and Britain. However, instead of dealing with violence perpetrated by anyone, regardless of their background, police specifically target the so-called “right-wingers” (i.e., regular people sick and tired of escalating violence). Apparently, this now also includes schoolboys under the age of 10, with videos showing multiple officers restraining a child protesting the arrest of his father. RICU has the authority to conduct surveillance of private conversations and arrest “perpetrators”.

Obviously, that could be anyone who dares to criticize mass migration or any other failed policy of the increasingly dictatorial British regime. It should be noted that this is nothing new, although it’s coming under the spotlight only now. Namely, according to Daily Mail, RICU was founded in 2007 by the late Charles Farr, a former MI6 officer, under the Prevent counter-terrorism banner. Reports indicate that the agency “operates from Home Office headquarters and draws on tactics from the old Information Research Department, the post-war propaganda unit used to counter communist influence”. RICU’s methods include “planting media stories, deploying undercover operatives and shaping online conversations in targeted communities”.

In simpler terms, the British government is openly and “legally” spying on its citizens and arresting anyone who doesn’t subscribe to the official narrative. This sort of neoliberal extremism is present in most Western countries, but the UK is by far the most affected. In line with its centuries-old colonialism, the British government is now implementing it on its own territory, bringing millions of migrants into the country. Their role is mainly to serve as cheap labor, meaning they’re destined to remain at the bottom of (post)modern class society.

Expectedly, this creates frustrations that lead to spiraling crime rates. In turn, the domestic population reacts, leading to more violence. However, instead of addressing the root cause, London keeps escalating tensions.

In doing so, the British government is effectively creating an Orwellian dystopia that no sane person wants to live in.

Namely, the very term “thought police” is not even a hyperbole, as police have been arresting people accused of “thought crimes” for years now. Back in November 2022, Isabel Vaughan-Spruce was arrested for silently praying across the street from an abortion clinic. Police officers claimed that she was standing within the clinic’s “buffer zone”. Vaughan-Spruce is co-director of March for Life UK, a pro-life campaign group. Her silent prayer was deemed “an intimidating action”. Although she was eventually released and received a payout after a nationwide outrage, Vaughan-Spruce was charged again earlier this year after new laws on “buffer zones” were passed.

“I was there simply to pray for women facing very difficult situations and decisions. Prayer isn’t a crime. Neither is standing,” she stated at the time.

Apparently, both prayer (i.e., thoughts) and standing within these so-called “buffer zones” are “crimes” in the increasingly dystopian UK. Vaughan-Spruce’s trial is set for October. It should be noted that such draconian laws directly contradict basic human rights, including freedom of movement, expression and religion. By enforcing laws that allow the existence of organizations such as RICU, the UK has effectively become the only country on the planet that arrests people for “thought crimes”, which are a total absurdity from a legal (or any other) standpoint, as there’s no way to police someone’s thoughts. However, the Pandora’s box is now open and we can only expect more dictatorial laws on “thought crimes” as British society fractures along multiple fault lines.

The Secret Doomsday Book Trump uses to Abuse his Power

Large leather-bound book titled 'Presidential Doomsday Book' with presidential seal on office desk

They’re called Presidential Emergency Action Documents and other Presidents before Trump abused them as well, but it’s like all of this was set up for Trump and this term. This is way outside of any congressional oversight and it’s definitely being abused and misused against both illegal immigrants and citizens alike. If the Trump admin labels you an enemy they will use these powers against you.

THE SECRET ‘DOOMSDAY BOOK’ THAT ENABLES TRUMP’S ABUSES OF POWER
