EU drastically decreases energy consumption due to anti-Russian sanctions

gray and red industrial machine

The pre-planned war and the destruction of both Nordstream pipelines by NATO forces is doing it’s trick. People are forced to choose between heat and food and are burning wood, coal and even clothing to stay warm. The insane policies of the EU and the West continues. Johnny

Lucas Leiroz, researcher in Social Sciences at the Rural Federal University of Rio de Janeiro; geopolitical consultant.

As expected, anti-Russian sanctions are already having negative effects on European countries and directly affecting the lives of ordinary people. Between August and November 2022, the EU reduced its use of natural gas by more than 20%, compared to the rates of the last five years. The data were published on the 20th of December as a result of a survey operated by Eurostat. According to EU officials, the reduction is indicative of the success of the European bloc’s attempts to decrease its dependence on Russian gas.

“The EU consumption of natural gas has dropped by 20.1% in the period August-November 2022, compared with the average gas consumption for the same months (August-November) between 2017 and 2021”, Eurostat report says.

Almost all EU states reported a reduction in gas consumption, with eighteen of them registering a drop of more than 15%, which was the target established by the bloc. The country that reported the highest rate of reduction was Finland, with a 52.7% drop in domestic utilization. Latvia (43.2%) and Lithuania (41.6%) also had high rates of drop, while, on the other hand, six states were below the 15% target. Malta (7.1%) and Slovakia (2.6%) were the only countries that witnessed an increase in consumption, absolutely failing to meet the European targets.

In fact, the 15% target does not seem in any way an easy thing to achieve. The value corresponds to a high volume of energy, which is definitely not “dispensable” for any country. However, this goal was the “consensus” among European politicians during the EU Council meeting in August, whose topic was the creation of a new energy regulation. The objective is to reach, in the period between August 2022 and March 2023, the lowest gas rates of the last five years. Thus, the bloc hopes that European economies will become less dependent on Russian supplies, ensuring the countries’ ability to initiate an era of energy containment.

Energy control is something that Europeans have been promoting for a long time. Containment policies serve the interests of those financial elites interested in developing the so-called “green” market, which is driven by capitalist environmentalism and the agenda of the World Economic Forum. However, the situation is now different, as it is not ecological reasons that drive this drastic decrease in consumption in the EU countries, but the simple fact that there is no longer an abundant and cheap source of energy for Europe.

This source has always been Russia, which, being a major gas producer and being geographically close to the EU nations, supplied the commodity without concerns about political or ideological alignment, focusing only on mutually beneficial economic cooperation. The EU, however, decided to adhere to the anti-Russian sanctions imposed by the US, adopting an absolutely anti-strategic and irrational stance, which harms the interests of European citizens themselves.

With this, it is possible to say that the reduction of European gas use is not the result of a rational deliberation in search of improvements in the continent, but simply a desperate measure to try to keep the EU countries economically active amid the shortages in the gas supply. Energy instability is forcing countries to reduce consumption, having no real sovereign interest on the part of states in operating this reduction.

In the long term, these policies become truly unsustainable. Some countries seek alternative gas routes. States in the western part of the continent try to cooperate with France to obtain gas from the Sahel, while, on the other hand, US gas exports to Europe become the main market for US energy companies. However, for states in the most central and eastern areas of Europe and with a large industrial volume, such as Germany, the absence of Russian supply seems unbearable, with no other way to guarantee true energy stability – especially during the winter.

But nothing seems to change the EU’s conviction that anti-Russian coercion is the best way to resolve the current crisis. The bloc recently approved a new sanctions package, including a price cap on Russian oil and refined products. Not even winter, which naturally demands an increase in gas utilization, appears to be an incentive for European leaders to review their strategies regarding Russia.

Indeed, what we can expect are two scenarios: either European states will reverse their anti-Russian policies independently, ignoring irrational EU recommendations, or citizens of these countries eventually will escalate mass protests, strengthening the Eurosceptic wave. In both cases, one thing is certain: at some point Europe’s passive submission to the US will come to an end.

Europe Seizes Russian Fertilizers, Damaging Food Security

Lucas Leiroz, researcher in Social Sciences at the Rural Federal University of Rio de Janeiro; geopolitical consultant.

Once again, anti-Russian Western policies are impacting the international supply. According to a recent report by Russian authorities, thousands of tonnes of Russian fertilizers are being seized by the European Union, prevented from being used for food production. This type of measure is extremely dangerous for food security and worsens the global supply crisis.

In a recent statement, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Vershinin said that more than 280,000 tonnes of Russian mineral fertilizers remain detained in European ports. The number is the result of a long process of retention in recent months. Moscow would have negotiated the export of these fertilizers with partner countries around the world, mainly Africa, in the context of recent Russian policies of free shipping of goods to emerging states, in order to contribute to combating the supply crisis. However, Europeans would be arresting the goods and preventing them from leaving the continent’s ports.

“Up to 280,000 tonnes of Russian mineral fertilizers have been under arrest in a number of European countries over recent months (…) It is that part of the mineral fertilizers which were seized in European ports and which we are able to export at our expense. The fertilizers will also go free of charge to those African countries. In addition, we are engaged in a number of projects with other countries (…)”, he said.

The deputy minister also emphasized the importance of sending fertilizers in large scale to poor countries as a guarantee of food security, stating that without such products there will be no grains in the coming seasons, generating a widespread problem. In the West, the importance of grain distribution to combat hunger is always mentioned, but the relevance of fertilizers is neglected – perhaps deliberately, in order to affect Russian agricultural industry, since Russia is one of the world’s main fertilizer producers.

“In general, it is evident to everybody that when it comes to grains, it is food security. But in my opinion, food security is no less affected by fertilizer exports, as the next year’s crops will be called into question without fertilizers”, he added.

Vershinin also commented on how the European policy of blocking Russian exports is one of the reasons why Russia was extremely dissatisfied with the management of the Grain Deal. Although new negotiations have taken place recently, with the western side making firmer commitments, little has been seen in the sense of actually implementing the agreed measures. So far, the general situation of the food crisis remains the same: the West causes shortages and blames Russia for it.

Moscow continues to maintain its normal flow of grain and fertilizers through the Black Sea and hopes that the shipped containers are correctly redistributed to the emerging countries to which they are destined. However, when such products arrive in Europe, instead of being redirected, they are held indefinitely. The western media plays its role in this operation against Russia by mobilizing public opinion, as the major western newspapers describe the absence of agricultural commodities in emerging countries as a “Russian crime” and simply ignore that it is the European Union that is illegally arresting goods in their ports and increasing world hunger.

According to Vershinin, this situation is reaching a dangerous point, as the longer the West delays in fulfilling its obligations, the more emerging countries worsen their food security conditions. He called on the entire international society to work together so that the case is resolved as quickly as possible, before social disasters become inevitable.

“There is extremely little time left. I have told you about the circumstances we take into account in decision-making. And here, as they say, every day is precious. That is why, our message to the UN representatives, so to speak, was that we should not waste time, but should use every day to achieve meaningful results. It is all the more important that we work to ensure food security, and we are doing our job (…)”, he stated.

In fact, the position of international organizations cannot be silent in the face of this type of scenario. The UN, and even more specifically the FAO, must officially speak out to condemn the West – or at least start investigations focused on attesting to the veracity of data reported by the Russian government. It is unacceptable for an organization so publicly committed to democratic and humanitarian values as the EU to act so perversely against poor countries and vulnerable populations, just with the interest of harming Russia’s international image.

Furthermore, it is clear how such policies generate a reverse effect: the more the EU and the West try to blame Russia for their own crimes, the more emerging countries tend to distance themselves from the West itself, as it is clear in the current situation which side is really cooperating against hunger and which side is acting in a destabilizing way.

“UNPRECEDENTED AND HEAVY” SUMMER SNOW HITS AFGHANISTAN
According to local sources, and as reported by khaama.com, unprecedented and heavy snowfall has struck central Afghanistan which, at this time of the year, poses a threat to young livestock and tender crops. (Gee does that sound familiar??? Can you say manufactured WORLDWIDE FOOD SHORTAGE???)

Residents in various towns and villages of Bamyan province have reported snow down to an unusually low elevation, even as the calendar reads summer. Witnesses documented the sharp cool-down and rare snow which descended overnight Monday:

The black horse is riding and it is bringing famine and MASSIVE amounts of inflation with it. Rev 6 vs 5-6 When the Lamb opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, “Come!” I looked, and there before me was a black horse! Its rider was holding a pair of scales in his hand. 6 Then I heard what sounded like a voice among the four living creatures, saying, “Two pounds[a] of wheat for a day’s wages,[b] and six pounds[c] of barley for a day’s wages,[d] and do not damage the oil and the wine!”

Even Members of Congress are using Words like “Famine” and “Starvation” as Food Prices SOAR Around the World

As food prices soar to record levels (being blamed on Russia of course) even members of the US Congress and US Senate are admitting that “famine” and “starvation” are coming to all parts of the world if something isn’t done and soon. What they don’t realize is that it’s already too late and that this was all planned for the “great reset” and the implementation of their “New World Order’. The elites of the world believe that they will starve the world into submission and food is their greatest weapon.

The U.N. Food and Agriculture Organization said its Food Price Index, which tracks monthly changes in international prices for a basket of commodities, averaged 159.3 points last month, up 12.6% from February. As it is, the February index was the highest level since its inception in 1990.

FAO said the war in Ukraine was largely responsible for the 17.1% rise in the price of grains, including wheat and others like oats, barley and corn. Together, Russia and Ukraine account for around 30% and 20% of global wheat and corn exports, respectively. Like I said they’re using Russia as the scapegoat here even though drought, disease, locust infestations and other factors had already set the world up for a record setting famine!

Here is what some Senators are saying about the upcoming famine that I found on The Economic Collapse Blog

For example, U.S. Senator Joni Ernst just told Fox Business that our planet is facing “impending famine”

About 40 to 45 percent of the production in Ukraine will be decreased this year because of the war and the scarcity of supplies that go into the planting season. And we know that Ukraine also supports about 400 million people around the world with its food products. So we do see that we have an impending famine. And I’ve heard from David Beasley at the World Food Bank that he’s now going to have to take from the hungry to feed the starving.

And U.S. Senator Cory Booker has previously warned that we could soon see tens of millions of people “dying of starvation”

“Democrats and Republicans in Congress need to quickly come together and approve emergency global food aid in order to prevent tens of millions of people, including millions of children, from dying of starvation,” Senator Cory Booker, a Democrat from New Jersey, told Reuters.

Read the rest by clicking here!

Keep in mind that African nations import a lot of their grains from Russia and Ukraine and that war is predicted to shut down about 45% of Ukraine’s crop production this year alone!

In the Horn of Africa 13 million people are already suffering from hunger. Ethiopia imports around 40 percent of its wheat from Russia and Ukraine, Kenya 30 percent, and Somalia over 90 percent.

The World Food Program estimates that 285 million people face starvation.

The head of the World Food Program, former South Carolina Governor David Beasley, says the world food supply already faced a catastrophe before the war in Ukraine.

“We’re so short of funds already, and now with Ukraine, we’ve got 50-percent rations for people, for example, in Yemen, I’ve just cut 50 percent rations for eight million people. Niger, 50 percent rations, Chad 50 percent rations. And 50 percent don’t have anything, those who are in extreme need,” Beasley said.

Then we have the Bank of America saying that a “RECESSION SHOCK” is coming as reported by Reuters.

The macro-economic picture is deteriorating fast and could push the U.S. economy into recession as the Federal Reserve tightens its monetary policy to tame surging inflation, BofA strategists warned in a weekly research note.

“‘Inflation shock’ worsening, ‘rates shock’ just beginning, ‘recession shock’ coming”, BofA chief investment strategist Michael Hartnett wrote in a note to clients, adding that in this context, cash, volatility, commodities and crypto currencies could outperform bonds and stocks.

The Federal Reserve on Wednesday signaled it will likely start culling assets from its $9 trillion balance sheet at its meeting in early May and will do so at nearly twice the pace it did in its previous “quantitative tightening” exercise as it confronts inflation running at a four-decade high.

A large majority of investors also expect the central bank to hike its key interest rate by 50 basis point.

I would say we are in for a MASSIVE SHOCK here in the USA as the majority have never experienced real hunger or starvation, nor have they experienced war on their shores but it is coming, have no doubt.

We are seeing Revelation 6 playing out on the world stage and there is no stopping Bible prophecy. All we can do as God’s people is keep praying and keep prepping as best we can.

And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand.

And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.

7 And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see.

8 And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.

As a matter of fact, it is my opinion that the fourth horse aka the pale horse in Rev. 6:8 is also riding as I’m typing this blog post. Think about it. The sword (war) is killing people not just in Ukraine but worldwide (Ethiopia, Yemen, etc), hunger is killing, death is killing people off in many different ways (jabs) and finally the beasts of the earth are killing as well. Think of bird flu, SARS, Coronavirus, African Swine Fever, etc. By the way one of the thing they worked on in the labs in Ukraine was how to disperse the bird flu to kill off another nations poultry supply. War is hell indeed.

The bottom line here guys is keep prepping and keep praying! That is all we can do but the absolute best prep you can make is to be right with the Creator via His son Jesus Christ! Make Him your Lord and Savior today while there is still time!!!

New Brunswick Grocery Stores can Now Ban the Non Vaxxed!

It is all coming together folks, this is the Mark! Soon you won’t be able to do ANYTHING including leave your home without a government “hall pass”. Then it will be “get jabbed or go to camp” where no one will be allowed to check out unless you cave into the shot. Don’t do it no matter what the cost! Your eternal life is on the line! Here is the story from Eturbonews by Harry Johnson.

New Brunswick has become the first Canadian province to allow grocers to ban unvaccinated food shoppers.

Under a new provision announced by New Brunswick Health Minister Dorothy Shephard, grocery stores in the province are now allowed to turn away the shoppers who aren’t vaccinated against COVID-19.

The provision gives grocery stores, malls and salons the option of either enforcing physical-distancing rules or requiring proof of vaccination to enter their establishments.

“With winter comes colder weather, shorter days, more time spent inside and increased opportunity for COVID-19 to spread,” Shephard said. “It is important we have a plan in place that ensures our healthcare system is not overwhelmed, but also considers the mental, physical and financial health of New Brunswickers.”

Shephard suggested that abiding by the new measures won’t be difficult. “They are small actions that each person can take, but when combined, can make a big difference,” she said.

Other new restrictions include limiting household gatherings to 20 people, capping outdoor gatherings at 50 people, and requiring unvaccinated people to avoid indoor gatherings – a lonely and potentially hungry Christmas for the unvaccinated. Masks are now also required in outdoor public places when physical distancing can’t be maintained.

New Brunswick residents must register to travel, and all unvaccinated people entering the province must be quarantined and take a test to prove they’re not infected after 10 days in isolation. Tougher restrictions, such as banning non-essential travel within the province, will kick in if new cases or hospitalizations rise to certain levels.

The COVID-19 pandemic in New Brunswick is an ongoing viral pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019, a novel infectious disease caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2. The province of New Brunswick has the eighth-most cases of COVID-19 in Canada.

The new Action Plan, which has restrictions and rules meant to curb COVID-19 spread, is causing confusion and frustration among New Brunswickers.

Today the province registered 71 new cases and 3 deaths. Source: Eturbonews.com

Famine Hits Ethiopia’s Tigray Region as War Drags On and MILLIONS are At Risk!

Photo by KHALIL MUSA on Pexels.com

Once again it’s always the civilians suffer in war and now 350,000 are facing famine in the Tigray region of Ethiopia. This is happening because of a war between the elected government of Ethiopia and the deposed powers who reside in the Tigray region. Those are the basics of the physical war that we can see on the ground.

Biblically what we see happening is Revelation 6, 3-6.

3 And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see.

4 And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.

5 And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand.

6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.

Let’s keep our brothers and sisters in Christ in our prayers. Famine is coming to the world very soon. Here is an article from RT.com to shed more light on the situation.

Ethiopia’s troubled Tigray region is now in a state of famine, the UN’s humanitarian chief Mark Lowcock has said, as reports suggest that hundreds of thousands of people are at risk of disaster.

“There is now famine in Tigray,” the official told representatives of UN, EU and US organizations on Thursday, warning the situation may be the worst since the 2011 famine in neighboring Somalia, which killed around 260,000 people.

Lowcock said things are “going to get a lot worse”, but added that “the worst can still be avoided” if immediate help is provided for Tigray.

“A re-run of 1984 would have wide-ranging and long-lasting ramifications. My message is don’t go there,” he added, referencing the Ethiopian famine of 1983-1985, which resulted in 1 million deaths, according to UN figures.

On Thursday, Reuters reported it had viewed a document presented at the UN’s Inter-Agency Standing Committee which said 350,000 people in Tigray are at risk of famine.

Millions more people in the region also need “urgent food and agriculture/livelihoods support to avert further slides towards famine,” the report apparently said.

The new details come after Lowcock warned last week of imminent famine conditions in Tigray, saying UN officials are “hearing of starvation-related deaths already.”

This week, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres also said several areas of the region are “on the brink of famine.”

Ethiopia’s government and the UN have both accused the Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF), an armed political group in the region, of hindering the work of aid convoys. You can read the rest HERE.

Are You Prepared? The Food Crisis of 2019 is Here!

The evidence can’t be ignored by mainstream media any longer. The United States has a major food crisis brewing as we head into the summer of 2019. Just search the hashtag #noplant2019 and you’ll soon see what I’m talking about. The crops just aren’t getting planted and the ones that have been aren’t doing well and aren’t expected to produce much.

Keep in mind that the “Ebola pig virus” is running rampant in China and also much of Asia. I’ve seen this first hand when I was out buying pork chops last weekend. The video below gives you a quick summary of what’s going on with our crops.
