On the final night of the Republican Midterm Convention in Dallas, Donald Trump stood before thousands and demanded a personalized loyalty oath. He did not ask the crowd to pledge allegiance to the flag, the Constitution, or Almighty God. He commanded them to pledge allegiance directly to him.
The exact words forced upon that stadium ring like an end-times siren:
“I pledge to the greatest president in the history of the United States… I don’t care if I’m registered or not, I’m going to try and cheat like hell like they do. So help me God.”
