Artificial Intelligence in Support of Israeli Intelligence. The Planning of Genocide. “What Will Gaza Look Like in the Future”

Using Artificial Intelligence this is the “political simulation” of  “what Gaza will look like in the future.”

This was an initiative of Gila Gamliel-Demri, who was Israel’s Minister of Intelligence in 2023-2024. The last sentence pertains to a Ministry of Intelligence “Secret” Memorandum pertaining to “Voluntary Immigration” for Gaza, which was submitted to the Netanyahu Cabinet on 10.13.2023.

Translation 

‘Exposure: This is what Gaza will look like in the future.

Voluntary Gazan migration only with Trump and Netanyahu.

It’s us or them!

There is one statement in this video production which is not based on Artificial Intelligence. It’s the so-called. “Voluntary Immigration Plan”, namely Israel’s Ministry of Intelligence “Secret” Memorandum  which was released on October 13, 2023 and adopted by the Netanyahu Cabinet.

What this entails is the admission that there was a detailed intelligence and military agenda to “Wipe Gaza off the Map”, planned well in advance on October 7, 2023.

“The Voluntary Immigration Plan” (VIP) referred to by Gilial Gamliel opens up a Pandora’s Box.

The name of the so-called Secret Memorandum was not “Voluntary Immigration”, quite the opposite. It was entitled in October 2023 by the Minister of Intelligence Gilial Gamliel:

“Israeli Intelligence Ministry Policy Paper (IIMPP) on Gaza’s Civilian Population”, October 2023, the stated objective of which was to “Expel All Palestinians from Gaza” under Option C. 

This Plan to “Expel All Palestinians from Gaza” was known to Israel’s allies, including the U.S. and  NATO. US. Intelligence was routinaly collaborating with Israel’s Ministry of Intelligence.

The  “Secret” Memorandum was not “classified” It was made public on that same day (October 13, 2023) by the Ministry of Intelligence.

The Ministry of Intelligence headed by Gila Gamliel (2023-2024) was also  responsible for planning a sophisticated False Flag Operation with a view to presenting the Palestinians as the aggressors, for having attacked Israel.

What is the significance of Gila Gamilie’s A.I. Video?

The act of Israeli Intelligence using Artificial Intelligence as a means to producing the short video entitled “What Will Gaza Look Like in the Future” is part and parcel of IIMPP Memorandum, which consists in expelling Palestinians from their homeland and portraying Gaza as beautiful future “It’s Us or Them.”

It’s a grotesque AI simulation. It’s propaganda to the nth degree, it’s a criminal undertaking which serves to provide a human face to Option C.

The so-called Israeli Intelligence Ministry Policy Paper On Gaza’s Civilian Population (IIMPP), October 2023 was intent upon setting the stage for the conduct of the genocide. 

Under Option C of the IIMPP Memorandum, the stated objective is “Expel All Palestinians from Gaza”. 

Of significance, the IIMPP Memorandum was made public on the same day it was submitted to the Netanhahu government. It was totally igored by the mainstream media. It was also ignored by the United Nations and the International Court of Justice.

Global Research received this important document in mid-October 2023.

Below is my assessment of this Oct 13, 2023 Intelligence Memorandum.

It should be understood that  Israel’s [so-called] “Secret” Intelligence Memorandum (which was made public) was accompanied by numerous classified memoranda pertaining to different operations in the conduct of the genocide including the “Mass Famine Agenda”.

The official “secret” memorandum authored by Israel’s  Ministry of Intelligence had recommended the forcible and permanent transfer of the Gaza Strip’s 2.2 million Palestinian residents to Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula, namely to a refugee camp in Egyptian territory. This was by no means “Voluntary”

There are indications of Israel-Egypt negotiations as well as consultations with the U.S.

The 10-page document, dated Oct. 13, 2023, which bears the logo of the Intelligence Ministry

“… assesses three options regarding the future of the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip …

It recommends a full population transfer as its preferred course of action. … “

Netanyahu Cabinet Adopts “Option C”: “Evacuation of The Civilian Population from Gaza to Sinai”

I should mention that in October 2023 when the “Secret” Memorandum was released, we were not aware that Option C had been adopted by the Netanyahu Cabinet

Below are the main concepts of Option C which define planned actions as formulated at the outset in October 2023, emphasis added

Option C – The option that will yield positive, long-term strategic outcomes for Israel, and is an executable option.

It requires determination from the political echelon in the face of international pressure, with an emphasis on harnessing the support of the United States and additional pro-Israeli countries for the endeavor.  

At first glance, this option, involving significant population displacement, may  present challenges in terms of international legitimacy.

Location and Governance

Operational

1. A call for the evacuation of the non-combatant population from the combat zone of the Hamas attack.

2. In the first stage, operations from the air with a focus on the north of Gaza to allow a ground invasion in an area that is already evacuated and does not require fighting in a densely populated civilian area.

3. In the second stage, a gradual ground invasion of the territory in the north and along the border until the occupation of the entire Strip and cleansing of the underground  bunkers of Hamas fighters.

4. The ground invasion stage will be less time-consuming compared to options A and B and therefore will reduce the exposure time to opening the northern front simultaneously with the fighting in Gaza.

5.  It is important to leave the travel routes to the south open to enable the evacuation of the civilian population toward Rafah.

International/legal legitimacy

In our assessment, post-evacuation combat is likely to result in fewer casualties among the civilian population compared to the expected casualties if the population remains (as presented in options A and B).

a. This is a defensive war against a terrorist organization that conducted a military invasion into Israel. [false flag justification]

b. The demand for the evacuation of the non-combatant population from the area is a widely accepted method that saves lives, and it was the approach used by the Americans in Iraq in 2003.

c. Egypt has an obligation under international law to allow the passage of the  population.

6. Israel must act to promote a broad diplomatic initiative aimed at countries that will support assisting the displaced population and agree to absorb them as refugees.

7. A list of countries that are suitable for this initiative can be found in Appendix A to this document.

8. In the long run, this option will gain broader legitimacy because it involves a  population that will be integrated within a state framework with citizenship.

Concluding Remarks

The mainstream media did not inform the public concerning Netanyahu’s Adoption of Option C: “Evacuation of The Civilian Population from Gaza to Sinai” which essentially implied a detailed plan to commit genocide. 

With  regard to The International Court of Justice (ICJ), The adoption of Option C by the Netanyahu must  have been known to the lawyers representing South Africa in their action against The State of Israel.

Yet it was not raised in the legal procedures. Nor was the issue of the False Flag Agenda which had been carefully organised (prior to October 7, 2023) by the Israeli Ministry of Intelligence and Ithe IDF in consultation with U.S intelligence.

The ICJ in its January 26, 2024 Judgment failed to question the role of the Likud coalition government, which was largely responsible for the planning prior to October 7 of a comprehensive agenda under Option C,  with the support of Washington.

On January 26, 2024  Netanyahu confirmed that the genocide was ongoing and would continue despite the ICJ Judgment.

While Israel had adopted a Plan of Mass Starvation,  no legal obstruction or hindrance was formulated by the World Court with a view to curbing the tide of atrocities against Palestinians including an Israeli project to engineer starvation throughout the Gaza Strip.  

The Plan of Mass Starvation was an integral part of Option C.  It was no doubt part of a contiguous plan which remained classified.

“Gaza is experiencing mass starvation like no other in recent history. Before the outbreak of fighting in October, food security in Gaza was precarious, but very few children – less than 1% – suffered severe acute malnutrition, the most dangerous kind. Today, almost all Gazans, of any age, anywhere in the territory, are at risk.

There is no instance since the second world war in which an entire population has been reduced to extreme hunger and destitution with such speed. And there’s no case in which the international obligation to stop it has been so clear.” 

These facts underpinned South Africa’s recent case against Israel at the international court of justice. The international genocide convention, article 2c, prohibits “deliberately inflicting [on a group] conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part”. Washington Supports the Genocide. The Issue of “Conflict of Interest” and “Recusal”

Amply documented, the Genocide is a joint Israel-U.S. project. The President of the ICJ, Joan Donoghue —a former Legal Advisor to Hillary Clinton– was in conflict of interest, which would have required her Recusal.  (See:  Recusals of Arbitrators and Judges in International Courts and Tribunals, Chiara Giorgetti)

What is at stake is the criminalization of the international judicial process.

The ICJ has granted Israel with the full endorsement of the U.S. a de facto “green light” to continue and “escalate the genocide”.

Operation Midnight Hammer (OMH) consisting in the deployment of B-2 Aircraft out of Whitman Air Force Base  was in many regards improvised. 

OMH was undertaken by US Central Command (USCENTCOM), based in Florida in close coordination with US Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) in Omaha, Nebraska.

In this article, we first put forth detailed evidence which refutes President Trump‘s June 22, 2025 Address to the Nation.

Mr. President. Where is the Evidence? 

The above statement “Trump says Iran’s nuclear enrichment facilities ‘completely and totally obliterated’ in US Strikes” is FALSE, MISTAKEN.

The following evidence was conveyed and confirmed within hours of President Trump’s Address to the Nation, largely from Iranian media and official sources:

“On June 22, according to the Iranian Tasnim News Agency, Menan Laehi, a representative of Qom Province in the Iranian Parliament, stated this morning (June 22) that contrary to claims made by U.S. President Trump, the Fordow nuclear facility in Iran has not been severely damaged;

The main damage is to the above-ground parts, which can be repaired.

He expressed confidence that “all items that could pose a threat to nearby residents” have long been cleared from the facility, and there are currently no reports of nuclear radiation.

He emphasized that Iran views this U.S. attack as a manifestation of direct U.S. involvement in the war, and it is now “Iran’s decision when and how to respond to the U.S.”

The following reports quoting Iran Military News states the following:

“If Fordo had been gone, you would have seen craters, electromagnetic ruptures, emergency airlifts, the work of seismographs and infrared flashes under the mountain

 There is no SAR confirmation at the moment.

There is no evidence of a cluster of craters.

There is no multispectral flash analysis.

There is no information about an underground fire.

There is no data on the BDA cycle. If Fordo is still in action tomorrow, Washington has just carried out the most expensive bunker-busting operation in history, only to watch Tehran climb the escalation ladder unscathed.

“Operation Midnight Hammer”(OMH): 14 Bunker Busters Bombs Against Iran’s Nuclear Sites

The official story is as follows:

“A bomber mission of seven B-2 Spirit Bombers, accompanied by more than 30 Tomahawk Attack Missiles fired from an Ohio-class guided-missile nuclear submarine struck three Iranian nuclear sites at Natanz, Isfahan and Fordo, Pentagon officials confirmed on Sunday.

In the words of President Trump:

 “Iran’s key nuclear enrichment facilities have been completely and totally obliterated,” (White House Address, June 21 Y, 2025).

The evidence presented above refutes President Trump’s statement: (June 21, 2025 Nation Address).

Specifically regarding Forow. The B-2 bunker bomb operation was an absolute failure. 

Trump’s threats directed against accredited Pentagon journalists at Hegeth’s Press Conference are to no avail.

And eventually he will be obliged to acknowledge the truth, or will the “Big Lie” prevail. 

The GBU-57. Massive Ordnance Penetrator

 “30,000 lbs, with 5,000–6,000 lbs of explosives”

It is designed to penetrate up to 200 feet into reinforced concrete or rock before detonation.”

The claim is that it can reach and destroy underground facilities such as nuclear enrichment sites.”

The initials “GBU” stand for “Guided Bomb Unit”

These claims are likely overstated or misunderstood, especially by political decision-makers, misinformed by defense contractors or military briefers.

The bomb must hit very close to or directly above a target, such as a tunnel or chamber, to do meaningful damage.

A blast cavity from the explosion is ~20–30 meters wide. If the actual tunnel is offset by more than that (30+ meters horizontally or vertically), it won’t be affected.”

“U.S. attack models assume Iranian bunkers are simple, vertical shafts, but: Real underground bunkers may use offset tunnels, angled passages, or be built into irregular terrain like hills, making direct hits extremely unlikely.

“They Did not do Damage”

While the conduct of the attack against Iran’s nuclear facilities was an outright failure, there is nonetheless a “positive element” which will go down in Iran’s history. 

Failure of Trump’s OMH Attack.  A Chernobyl Style Catastrophe Was Avoided

Had the OMH Operation been conducted “successfully” from a military standpoint, this would have resulted in a Chernobyl style disaster characterized by a massive radioactive contamination and loss of life.

According to geopolitical and military analyst Drago Bosnic:”

The uranium used as fuel in nuclear power plants is enriched at 3.67%, which is considered far below the 90% or higher used in nuclear weapons. It should be noted that the Chernobyl and Fukushima disasters used precisely this sort of nuclear fuel, which still resulted in massive radioactive contamination.

On the other hand, the Fordow facility had uranium enriched at 60%, meaning that radioactive fallout would’ve been far worse than Chernobyl.

Given the fact that no radiation was detected in the aftermath of the US strike, the only logical conclusion is that the reactors weren’t destroyed.  (Drago Bosnic, Infobrics, emphasis added)

What this analysis implies is that the failure of Trump’s military operation contributed to preventing an unspoken disaster.

The U.S. Congress has the Power to Declare War,  Not The President

War is a criminal act.  Military actions deliberately directed against civilians are illegal according to the laws of Armed Conflict (LOAC).

In the wake of 9/11, US-NATO have been routinely conducting “humanitarian wars” allegedly against terrorists. Humanitrian Warfare is supportive of Resposibility to Protect (R2P). The latter does not require US Congressional approval. Nor does it require a formal motion by the United Nations Security Council (UNSC).

The Trump Administration casually invoked Article II of the US Constitution which defines the responsibilities of the Commander in Chief.

No consultations with the UN Security Council were undertaken. Breach of the Geneva Conventions. Scanty justifications were put forth by Trump officials.

“The administration is relying on the president’s authority under Article II of the Constitution, two senior administration officials told CNN, which says he has power to direct US military forces in engagements necessary to advance American national interests abroad.

The White House counsel’s office and the Justice Department were both involved in the legal analysis for the strikes. The administration relied, in part, on memos about war powers written by the DOJ’s Office of Legal Counsel under previous administrations of both parties.”

“The president is clearly well within his Article II powers here,” one former senior US official told CNN. “End of story.” (CNN,emphasis added)

Introduction

As we recall, The Republic of South Africa —referring to Article II of the Genocide Convention–, stated that the crimes committed by the State of Israel “are genocidal in character because they are intended to bring about the destruction of a substantial part of the Palestinian national, racial and ethnical group. …”.

The acts outlined by South Africa “are all attributable to [The state of] Israel, which has failed to prevent genocide and is committing genocide in manifest violation of the Genocide Convention.  … “ (emphasis added)

Article II of the Genocide Convention reads as follows. It esssentially defines acts of genocide, all of which apply to Palestine.

Article II

In the present Convention, genocide means any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group, as such:

(a) Killing members of the group;

(b) Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group;

(c) Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part;

(d) Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group;

(e) Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group.

A Part from Israel: “Who are The Actors of Genocide”.  The Role of Our Governments.

The answer to this question is addressed in Articles III and IV of the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide. 

It is not solely Israel which is waging the genocide. Western governments have formally endorsed Israel. They have provided financial support as well as military aid. US-NATO is a partner of Israel in this criminal endeavour.

Western governments are routinly arresting citizens who are protesting against genocide. Millions of people throughout the European Union and around the World have expressed their solidarity with Palestine.

Article III: “Complicity in Genocide”

The Convention is very explicit: it defines the notion of complicity in Articles III and IV.

Article III

The following acts shall be punishable:

(a) Genocide;

(b) Conspiracy to commit genocide;

(c) Direct and public incitement to commit genocide;

(d) Attempt to commit genocide;

(e) Complicity in genocide.

Several NATO member states have collaborated directly with Israel’s IDF in military and Intelligence operations. They are complicit in the act of genocide.

Complicity is Punishable

Article IV is very explicit.

Article IV:  

“Persons committing genocide or any of the other acts enumerated in article III shall be punished, whether they are constitutionally responsible rulers, public officials or private individuals”.

In this regard, heads of State and heads of government who have formally endorsed the conduct of Genocide by Israel, are categorized as “Constitutionally responsible rulers” and “public officials”. The latter are “Complicit in Genocide” under Article III section e} and can be arrested under the clauses of Article VI

Complicity in Genocide is Punishable under Article V and VI

Article V: (see below). enact

“the necessary legislation to give effect to the provisions of the present Convention, and, in particular, to provide effective penalties for persons guilty of genocide or any of the other acts enumerated in article III”.

Under Article VI (see below), they are liable for arrest and punishment: “tried by a competent Tribunal…”

“Persons charged with genocide or any of the other acts enumerated in article III shall be tried by a competent tribunal of the State in the territory of which the act was committed, or by such international penal tribunal as may have jurisdiction with respect to those Contracting Parties which shall have accepted its jurisdiction.”

“What If” US Bombing of Iran Was Not What Meets the Eye? Peter Koenig

Unconfirmed reports from different sources paint a different scenario from the ones that have made the mainstream, as well as non-mainstream news about President Trump’s intervention in Iran, bombing of nuclear research sites, as described in this article and this.

Since nothing is confirmed or proven, however to some extent credible, let us approach this topic with “What If”….

What if previous assessments of President Trump’s actions on Iran are wrong?

What if before June 22, when the United States Air Force and Navy attacked three Iranian nuclear research facilities: Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan, in an operation called “Midnight Hammer”, President Trump told / warned Iran of the attack, so that they could evacuate all the nuclear material and people from the sites?

Therefore, it would appear, no enriched material (up to 60% according to the IAEA) was destroyed.

This may be the reason why the IAEA reported no radiation after the attack. Also, apparently nobody was killed or hurt during the attack.

Trump also informed Putin of his plan.

What if the plan was telling Israel that he, President Trump, would take care of the nuclear “danger”, and Israel should stop aggressing Iran and possibly causing a nuclear WWIII? There was no more reason after 22 June to attack Iran.

This was supposed to be good for Israel because the damage Iran’s retaliatory missile strikes on Israel was devastating. The truth of the damage has not (yet) come out in the western media. Also, Israel’s Air Defense System was made almost useless by Iranian drone attacks.

Apparently, that’s why Israel agreed to a ceasefire, which was broken or not broken by both parties, depending whom to believe, but it may have been the reason why Trump exclaimed “They are stupid”, before he boarded the plane to the G7 farce in Canada.

Iran also used her “homemade” Fattah-1, Iran’s first hypersonic missile which is claimed to be capable of penetrating advanced missile defenses. It has a range of 1,400 kilometers and is reported to reach speeds of Mach 14. Iran may have used a few Fattah-1 to cause considerable damage to Tel Aviv, Haifa, and possibly even Israeli nuclear sites.

What if President Trump also spoke with Pakistan’s President, Asif Ali Zardari, a US-implant – if Israel uses nukes on Iran, Pakistan was free to “help” Iran, while Israel was also made aware of this possibility? Pakistan nor Israel is part of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).

What if Trump’s idea was indeed to avoid a nuclear WWIII with this maneuver; converting a potential atomic WWIII into a 10-day war? Full Stop. From 13 June, when the Israeli unprovoked, surprise-missile-attacked Iran, to 22 June 2025, when the US bombing of the three nuclear research sites, Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan, was done and over.

Maybe that is also the reason, encouraged by Pakistani’s President, Asif Ali Zardari, why Trump was boasting lately and loudly that he deserves the Nobel Peace Prize.

Who knows?

What if he will get it?

Obama got it, before he did anything. Then he started, enhanced, and continued six new and existing wars; did not stop one.

What if – has of course quite a few elements of speculation. But strategically, it would make sense.

Wait and see what happens next on the Middle East / Western Asia front. Still unresolved is the Israeli genocide on Gaza and the apparently “never-ending” Ukraine [US-NATO] – Russia war.

The former cannot even be categorized anymore as genocide, as a violation of International Law, an infraction of Human Rights – it is systematic, targeted killing, slaughter, ethnic cleansing, and outright expulsion from their land. The latter is Big Business for BlackRock, literally privatizing Ukraine, and the War industry, contributing mightily to the West’s GDP [a linear western invention to categorize world economies] – since destruction leads to construction, thus growth.

What if – the West is doomed.

Trump Threatens to Cut Off ‘Billions’ in Funding to Israel For Shocking Reason: ‘We Are Not Going to Stand For This’

President Donald Trump is threatening to withhold U.S. aid to Israel if corruption charges against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu are not dropped.

In a post to Truth Social late Saturday, the president — for the second time in recent days — railed against the ongoing corruption trial of the Israeli prime minister, in which Netanyahu is facing three different accusations of quid pro quos in which he allegedly granted favors to businessmen in exchange for bribes and friendly media coverage.

“It is terrible what they are doing in Israel to Bibi Netanyahu,” Trump wrote. He added, “How is it possible that the Prime Minister of Israel can be forced to sit in a Courtroom all day long, over NOTHING (Cigars, Bugs Bunny Doll, etc.). It is a POLITICAL WITCH HUNT, very similar to the Witch Hunt that I was forced to endure. This travesty of ‘Justice’ will interfere with both Iran and Hamas negotiations. In other words, it is INSANITY doing what the out-of-control prosecutors are doing to Bibi Netanyahu.”

Trump then threatened to withhold billions in United States aid to Israel if the charges against Netanyahu are not dropped.

“The United States of America spends Billions of Dollar a year, far more than on any other Nation, protecting and supporting Israel. We are not going to stand for this,” Trump wrote. “We just had a Great Victory with Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu at the helm — And this greatly tarnishes our Victory. LET BIBI GO, HE’S GOT A BIG JOB TO DO!”

Netanyahu proceeded to share Trump’s post on X.

“Thank you again, @realDonaldTrump,” Netanyahu wrote. “Together, we will make the Middle East Great Again!”

Iran-Israel ceasefire eases tensions but does not end the conflict

Iran and Israel reach a fragile ceasefire after two weeks of intense fighting.

After nearly two weeks of intense hostilities, the State of Israel and the Islamic Republic of Iran have finally reached a ceasefire agreement. Although the bombings have been halted, tensions between the two sides remain and there is a high chance that new skirmishes will occur in the near future. However, the partial de-escalation of the conflict is a positive sign for both sides as they recover from the impacts of twelve days of fighting.

The Israeli aggression against Iran on June 13 began what has been dubbed the “Twelve Day War.” Tel Aviv and Tehran engaged in an intense long-range bombing war, which had many negative impacts on both sides. Israel set two objectives for its operation: to neutralize Iran’s nuclear program and to advance a regime change operation by instigating the Iranian people to rebel against the leadership of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. After twelve days of fighting, neither of these objectives was achieved.

The Israeli aggression was firstly launched through combined fighter jets’ strikes and sabotage operations with drones using intelligence assets inside Iran. The initial impact of the aggression was high, with Israel destroying a substantial part of Iran’s air defense capability. This gave Israel an advantage in deep penetration operations into Iranian airspace – although at no point was there “full air control” by Israel.

However, despite its weaknesses in the airfield, Iran proved its missile superiority, hitting Israel with successive waves of ballistic missiles and causing massive impacts on military and strategic facilities. Tel Aviv imposed strong military censorship, which prevents an adequate assessment of the damage caused by Iran, but it is known that the Persian country’s missiles destroyed facilities belonging to the Ministry of Defense, intelligence, Iron Dome batteries, and power plants throughout the entire Israeli territory.

In parallel, Iran launched an extensive counterintelligence campaign, arresting and executing Mossad assets on its territory. The strategy used by Israeli intelligence was to co-opt ethnic minorities and immigrants. Many of the saboteurs were foreigners, mainly Afghans and Indians. The elimination of these agents caused the regularity and efficiency of Israeli attacks to decrease day by day.

Clearly, Israel was not prepared for the intensity of the Syrian attacks. Despite having abundant capacity to circulate in the Iranian airspace, Israel had very little operational autonomy, given the frequency of ballistic strikes. This caused despair among the Israeli elites and led to a request for help from the US. Although he initially refused to get involved, Donald Trump ended up giving in to the strong Jewish lobby in his country.

Despite interfering in the conflict, Trump maintained the American concern to avoid escalation. Washington carried out an almost symbolic attack on some Iranian nuclear facilities, causing little impact and no casualties. Tehran had previously evacuated its nuclear bases, so there was no great risk. Trump claims that the Iranian nuclear program was “destroyed” by the American attack, but this information is disputed by several experts, since it is almost impossible for a moderate bombing to penetrate Iran’s underground facilities.

Iran responded to the US strike with symbolic retaliation, firing missiles at US bases in Qatar and Iraq. Washington had also evacuated these facilities beforehand, thus preventing the attack from causing casualties. Trump showed no interest in responding to the Iranian bombings and, instead of inciting more tensions, brokered a ceasefire agreement between the two sides.

Israel accepted the agreement immediately, but violated it within the first few hours of its entry into force. Iran waited until the morning of the 24th to give a definitive response. Before that, it responded to the Israeli violations with intense bombings throughout Israel. For now, although fragile, the agreement remains in force and there are no new reports of violations.

In the end, both Iran and Israel suffered heavy military losses. These were days of high-intensity, long-range combat, which negatively impacted both sides. It is possible to say that there was a kind of “military draw”, considering that Israel destroyed a significant part of Iran’s air defenses, but was also deeply impacted by the bombings of the Persian country.

On the other hand, on the political level, Israel has undoubtedly lost. The country has failed to achieve the objectives set for its military campaign. Iran has not only preserved its nuclear program – as Western newspapers have already admitted – but has also suspended cooperation with the IAEA, banning international inspections of its nuclear program. In practice, Iran can now, if it wants to, build an atomic bomb at any time without any international observer having access to the process.

Furthermore, there has been no regime change in Iran. On the contrary, the Islamic Republic has emerged from the conflict stronger. Opposition leaders have reestablished ties with the government, ignoring their differences in order to support the country against a common enemy. There are demonstrations in the streets of Tehran – not against the government, but in support of the Ayatollah and endorsing the military actions. Israel hoped to turn the people against the government but achieved precisely the opposite.

This political reality is not happening in Israel, however. Benjamin Netanyahu is facing extremely strong opposition, with his political enemies doing everything they can to overthrow and arrest him. Criminal proceedings are being filed against him, as well as impeachment requests. Being at war is a way for Netanyahu to remain in power and calm the opposition. But it is difficult to know whether the Israeli leader will be able to withstand the impacts of yet another military defeat – the country had already failed in its campaign in Gaza, which is not yet over, with recent escalating protests.

Furthermore, there are signs of crisis in Israel. Almost 1,000 people have fled the country in the last two weeks by sea to Cyprus. There is an increasing number of people wanting to emigrate. The quality of life is decreasing drastically, and security is only getting worse, as the country continues to be at war with Hamas and the Houthis.

In the end, the costs of the war were bad for both sides, but worse for Israel – which worsened the internal crisis and failed to achieve its goals. The most likely scenario is that there will be constant ceasefire violations and both sides will fight again in the near future, but at a lower intensity, not reaching the level of the last two weeks.
