Yesterday we talked about the logistics of transporting food without diesel, it’s not going to happen and the stores will start running out of things fast. However, not enough people understand that EVERYTHING in America runs on diesel including power plants, refineries and more.

In this video by Modern Refugee, argues that modern society in the West is heavily dependent on diesel fuel to function. The core premise is that electricity and gasoline cannot be maintained without the logistics supported by diesel-powered equipment.

There is no solving this problem politically. There isn’t going to be any reprieve for America or any other nation. The world is under judgement and it will soon face God’s wrath.

But we as believers in Christ are not to worry and in fact this morning I was shown 2 Peter 2: 6-9 to help build my faith. I prefer the NLT translation for these scriptures as it makes it clear that the Lord will see us through our fiery trials.

6 Later, God condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah and turned them into heaps of ashes. He made them an example of what will happen to ungodly people.

7 But God also rescued Lot out of Sodom because he was a righteous man who was sick of the shameful immorality of the wicked people around him.

8 Yes, Lot was a righteous man who was tormented in his soul by the wickedness he saw and heard day after day.

9 So you see, the Lord knows how to rescue godly people from their trials, even while keeping the wicked under punishment until the day of final judgment.
