Victory in Soledar shows how Russia militarily controls the conflict

Lucas Leiroz, researcher in Social Sciences at the Rural Federal University of Rio de Janeiro; geopolitical consultant.

Despite the unsubstantiated discourse of the western media about a possible “Ukrainian victory”, Russian forces continue to advance on the battlefield, obtaining important territorial gains and controlling strategic points that will be fundamental to defeat the Kiev’s neo-Nazi regime in the near future. In the second week of January, the city of Soledar was the main focus of the conflict, with Russian troops achieving total control of the region, imposing a great loss on the enemy.

On January 10, the Russian private military company Wagner Group notified that it had completely taken over the city of Soledar, neutralizing the enemy forces that were concentrated there. Hundreds of Ukrainian soldiers died or were captured during the intense fighting. The head of the Wagner Group, Russian businessman Yevgeny Prigozhin, commented on the case in a public statement about the takeover of Soledar. Prigozhin emphasized that only the Wagner Group worked in the region, without support from any other combat unit of the Russian forces:

“Wagner units have taken control of all the territory of Soledar. I want to emphasize that no units other than the Wagner fighters took part in the assault on Soledar”, he said on January 10. The next day he made another statement, updating about the number of casualties and highlighting that the entire city is under Russian control. He estimates that around 500 Ukrainians were killed. He also stated that, as the enemy troops were neutralized and all civilians previously evacuated, there is no need to create a humanitarian corridor in Soledar.

“I want to repeat that Soledar has been fully liberated and cleared of Ukrainian army units (…) The Ukrainian troops that refused to surrender have been destroyed (…) The entire town is littered with the bodies of Ukrainian servicemen (…) There can be no word of any humanitarian corridor”, he added.

The victory in Soledar is undoubtedly important from a military point of view, as it guarantees Moscow’s forces a privileged geographical position, which will be very useful for the next stages of the conflict. By controlling Soledar, the Russians can cut off some of the most important supply routes for the Ukrainian forces that still occupy some regions of the Donetsk People’s Republic, such as Bakhmut, which is expected to be also fully liberated soon. In this way, by expelling the Ukrainian military from the city, the Russians significantly advance in the objective of consolidating the reintegration of Donetsk into the Russian Federation.

However, there is another important factor in this event, which is the weakening of Western propaganda about a possible “Ukrainian victory” or “counter offensive”. As Prigozhin emphasized, only Wagner Group was involved in the fighting in Soledar, while other Russian units were focused on other regions. Therefore, the Russians managed to control a key strategic zone using only the power of a private military company, without having to deploy any of the recently mobilized soldiers on the field.

This shows how Moscow, despite recently increasing the number of troops involved in combat, continues to employ only a small portion of its military capacity in the special operation. There are basically two reasons for adopting this strategy: the first and most important is to avoid civilian casualties, which inevitably increase when combat intensity is high; the second is to avoid heavy losses of troops and resources in exhausting battles. With this strategy, the Russians have achieved a slow but safe progress, without major losses of soldiers and resources, in addition to maintaining the lowest ratio of civilian casualties in a war since the WWI.

Indeed, if it was the Russian intention to advance devastatingly and control as many territories as possible in a short time, Moscow could allocate a large number of mobilized soldiers in the regions controlled by Ukraine, as well as further intensify the use of artillery and air power. But, on the contrary, Russian strategy is focused on bombing infrastructure and advancing on the ground with the minimum possible number of soldiers. Thus, deaths of both Russians and civilians are avoided.

In this sense, the victory in Soledar using only the potential of the Wagner Group shows how Moscow really maintains the military control of the conflict. By employing few resources and avoiding unnecessary casualties, important achievements have been made. While, on the other hand, the Ukrainians increasingly waste their resources, lose their soldiers and are unable to maintain any effective strategic planning, despite the support they receive from NATO.

Why is Georgia reluctant to send weapons to Kiev?

Drago Bosnic, independent geopolitical and military analyst

In 2003, the former Soviet Transcaucasus republic of Georgia became yet another victim of a Western-backed color revolution (the so-called “Rose Revolution”) which ended the longstanding rule of Eduard Shevardnadze. The coup d’état brought a fervently pro-NATO faction to power in Tbilisi, led by the controversial Mikhail Saakashvili. By 2008, Georgia was effectively transformed into a loyal NATO proxy in the South Caucasus region, serving as the very first springboard for the political West’s crawling encroachment on Russia’s post-Soviet geopolitical backyard. That year, Saakashvili was promised “unequivocal support” for an attack on the breakaway republics of Abkhazia and South Ossetia, including a direct assault on Russian peacekeepers deployed in both areas.

Moscow’s swift response caught both the political West and its Tbilisi puppets by surprise, as they most likely expected Russia to endlessly keep pulling back its red lines. In mere days, the NATO-trained and equipped Georgian forces suffered a crushing defeat. Tbilisi never fell only due to Moscow’s desire to avoid further bloodshed and a possible escalation beyond the region. At the time, apart from NATO, Tbilisi was supported by Ukraine as well, which also suffered its first NATO-backed color revolution in 2004. Kiev even sent several weapon types to Georgia, including the “Buk” mid-range SAM (surface-to-air missile) system previously operated by the Ukrainian military. The agreement was never made public, making it unclear if the weapons transfer was a Ukrainian donation or if Tbilisi paid for the armaments in question.

As the current Kiev regime is faced with the prospect of a decisive defeat in Donbass and beyond, it is desperate to acquire weapons wherever it can, in particular Soviet-era armaments which its troops can use almost immediately, as they require no additional training or complex logistics. Numerous countries which operate Soviet/Russian-made weapons have been under tremendous pressure to deliver these to the Neo-Nazi junta. This is particularly true for NATO-aligned post-Soviet and former Warsaw Pact member states which still operate sizeable arsenals of such weapons and equipment. Georgia is no exception to this and apart from Soviet-era weapons, the Transcaucasus country is also being pressured to deliver its Western-made armaments, specifically “Javelin” ATGMs (anti-tank guided missiles) it acquired from the United States in recent years.

A particularly important point of contention between Tbilisi and Kiev seems to be air defense. The Neo-Nazi junta is insisting that the “Buk” SAM and other weapons it sent in the past nearly two decades were delivered free of charge, as military aid to Georgia, and that it would like to see them returned. However, Georgia denied this, with its Defense Ministry criticizing “the incorrect information spread by experts or individual media outlets from Ukraine”, insisting that the SAM system was purchased. “It seems that Ukraine handed over ‘Buk’ air defense systems to Georgia for free, which is not true,” the official statement reads, adding that Tbilisi “had received the ‘Buk’ systems in 2007 through a multi-million-dollar purchase. This was done under a secret agreement, which is why we cannot provide more specifics.”

The government in Tbilisi also reiterated that, although Georgia is providing humanitarian assistance, it has “repeatedly stated its clear position on supplies of weapons and dual-use goods to Ukraine.” This also includes the decision not to send the aforementioned stocks of US-made “Javelin” ATGMs, despite NATO’s and Kiev’s insistence. Although this is causing a lot of frustration in both Brussels and Kiev, Georgia is concerned that sending weapons to the Neo-Nazi junta wouldn’t only undermine its own security, but would also risk provoking Moscow’s reaction. The “Buk” SAM system is the country’s most capable air defense asset and it’s extremely unlikely Georgia would be able to find a timely replacement, leaving its airspace almost completely unprotected.

The Kiev regime’s air defense network, once one of the world’s most extensive and capable, has been nearly wiped out by the Russian military, prompting the political West to try and acquire as many SAM systems as possible and hand them over to the Neo-Nazi junta forces. This includes both Soviet-era systems, as well as Western-made SAMs, but these have shown very limited capabilities against Russia’s long-range missiles and drones. Most NATO members provided systems that are either too short-ranged or effectively obsolete. Although Washington DC promised to deliver more up-to-date air defenses such as the much-touted “Patriot” SAM, the system’s impact is most likely to be negligible, particularly as the first batteries are expected to become operational no sooner than 2024.

Urging Georgia to provide the “Buk” is a clear indicator of NATO’s and Kiev’s desperation. However, Tbilisi has been very reluctant to further antagonize Russia, as it realizes that it cannot count on the political West to come to its aid if Moscow decides to retaliate. This could include anything from economic sanctions to direct retribution, both of which ruined Georgia’s economy in the aftermath of the 2008 war. The political West’s tendency to (ab)use various ethnic or other groups (or even entire countries) to achieve its goals against geopolitical adversaries is well-known and extensively documented. Tbilisi was unlucky to learn this the hard way and its cautious approach towards Russia serves as a testament to that. The Georgian people were the ones to pay for the 2008 lesson of just how unwise it is to needlessly provoke the Eurasian giant to the north, especially for the sake of those who don’t care what consequences the proxy could suffer.

Gas prices to remain high in Europe while LNG imports reached their upper limit

Uriel Araujo, researcher with a focus on international and ethnic conflicts

Since January 1, the UK has banned Russian LNG imports and is looking to other producers such as the US to meet demand. On January 9 the UK government announced it is extending the support it provides to companies regarding their energy bills for another year – which will cost around £ 5. bn. However, this is not enough and business representatives have warned that they cannot help but pass on extra costs to customers, thus contributing to an increase in inflation, according to Irish macroeconomist Philip Pilkington. These two pieces of news are not unrelated.

The British economy has been collapsing, largely due to high energy costs, as I’ve written, and those, in turn, have everything to do with the Western economic warfare against Russia which has backfired. For the same reason, a new depression also haunts Europe. Moreover, the German-Russian Nord Stream 2 project (now gone) , against which Washington campaigned so heavily, could have avoided the current energy crisis in Europe. This is a geoeconomic and geopolitical crisis which serves American interests quite well. In today’s plight, energy, economy, geopolitics and industry issues are all intertwined.

The economics and energy crises and the European deindustrialization they may bring about cannot be understood without taking into consideration the crisis in Ukraine and the geoeconomics of European reliance on Russian gas.

Russia is the world’s second-largest natural gas producer, and, in 2021, Germany, Turkey, and Italy were the world’s main importers of Russian gas. In 2021, Europe imported 2.4 million barrels per day (bpd) from the Eurasian power. Russia natural gas in fact accounted for almost 40% of EU gas imports in 2021 (160 bcm). In 2021, as a response to Moscow’s military campaign in Ukraine, EU state members committed to reducing gas imports from Russia and in fact overachieved their own goals: imports have fallen from 40% to about 4%, thus apparently ending what could be described as a half-century long mutually beneficial relationship.

As a result, gas prices have risen, which makes European industry uncompetitive and, in the post-Nord Stream world, this reality has come to stay for a very long time.

As a response, EU regulators will start publishing a daily liquified natural gas (LNG) price assessment on January 13, as part of the bloc’s plans to make pricing more transparent and to form a continental benchmark price – to avoid European countries bidding against each other for supplies (thus risking driving up prices even more).

Even though European gas prices have now fallen, their future remains uncertain due to weather shifts and storage issues. According to Ashley Kelty, a Panmure Gordon’s oil and gas director, the forecast is for Europe to exit the winter season with less than 15% in storage, which is much lower than the historic average of 30-35% – and this will result in prices remaining high, with the higher demand to refill. Kelty believes that, due to the absence of Russian supplies, among other factors, prices should remain high for the foreseeable future.

Moreover, as the global competition for fuel is heating up, once China emerges out of COVID, for instance, it will once again be a huge demand player, thereby potentially leaving Europe to compete for what remains available with one of the biggest buyers in the market, warns Toby Copson, Trident LNG’s global head.

Pilkington in turn argues that European gas imports are at their lowest in recent history because LNG imports have simply reached their upper limit. The 2400mcm per week or so seems to be a hard limit that won’t be crossed anytime soon. Thus, according to Pilkington, we can expect a huge energy crisis in Europe in 2023, which will collapse European economies and the UK.

Although warmer than usual temperatures this winter have held the demand for heating back, thus prompting a fall in natural gas prices and an increase in gas storage, this good performance, the economist warns, is “not game-changing”. Some experts estimate the EU could face a 30 Bcm deficit for 2023-24.

European economies might endure this winter, the prospect is not good. At this point one can only speculate, but one can expect an European economic collapse and the resulting deindustrialization and social unrest to strengthen the so-called populist camp in Europe, with a possible impact on elections, and on foreign policy. Even an European leader such as French President Emmanuel Macron himself has been talking about the possibility of the political West becoming divided over US policies and industry and subsidies wars.

Since the aftermath of WWII, Europe has relied on the US for security, while relying up until 2022 on Russia for gas. This has been the latent geoeconomic-geostrategic contradiction within the bloc which seems to be short-circuting now. With regards to oil and gas, trading links are largely dictated by geography, regardless of the political will. This being so, Russian-EU cooperation on energy has always been a strategic matter for both concerned parties, while the US agenda has been one of trying to disrupt any such Eurasian cooperation.

To sum it up, the current US-backed conflict in Ukraine and its economic and energy outcomes has proved itself disastrous not only to Kiev and to Ukrainians, but also to the EU and the UK, as well as the West itself. Europe cannot afford to decouple from Russia energetically and cannot easily separate from the US-led NATO’s structure, even when American geopolitical goals collide with the continent’s interests. This is Europe’s main sovereignty contradiction and its great drama today.

Vexille, Predictive Programming from 2007 Shows us What’s Going on Today!

white and red dandelion flower

I found this clip the other day when I was doing research for my upcoming transhumanism video. This is from a Japanese anime move made in 2007 called “Vexille”  which is described as follows on IDMB: “A female agent named Vexille is dispatched to Tokyo to investigate whether Japanese are developing robotic technology, which has been banned by the U.N. due to its potential threat to humankind.” I’ll let the clip do the rest of the talking. Prayed up and prepped up, time is short!

Also here is the clip I found on YouTube which is STILL ON YOUTUBE and yet my channel gets the boot? Like I said in yesterdays post, I have to be one of the most censored creators on the internet at this point!

Don’t Speak II, we have removed your channel from YouTube

Well we all knew this day was coming and here it is, we have been REMOVED from YouTube. This is the second channel I’ve had taken down as the first Don’t Speak News channel went down in November of 2020.

So in the last 2 years we have lost 2 funding options, 2 YouTube channels, our Twitter account, affiliate accounts (paid us commission) and we can’t be paid for ads. I’d say we are one of the most heavily censored websites and channels on the internet even though we are super small compared to others. We must be doing something right. Here are the details in todays video.

Multiple Studies Show Ivermectin to be Cytotoxic, Genotoxic and most likely Carcinogenic

Guys every single drug big pharma makes is toxic and not compatible with the human body. They know this but their business model is to “manage your disease” by treating the symptoms with toxic drugs. This is why people have never ending side effects and end up taking more drugs to counter the others. While your symptoms may be alleviated, at the end of the day the patient ends up in a worse state than when they came in for treatment.

The same holds true even for the so called wonder drug Ivermectin. As you will see and hear in today’s video podcast Ivermectin causes cell damage and even cell DEATH at certain doses and it also makes it’s way through the food chain via the livestock that are treated with it. All of that and more are in today’s video.

In today’s video I cover a really good article by Brian Shilhavy at, probably one of the most heavily censored websites on the planet. In this article he talks about some of the “big names” in the anti Covid vaccine movement and where their funding is coming from, and in one case where the heck is it all going?

As you will see these anti covid vaxxers are still very much PRO VACCINE for the rest of the CDC schedule and one Dr. is even using a Pfizer product in their so called covid protocols!
