FBI to Vastly Expand and Centralize Biometric Surveillance and Data Collection
This is going to be HUGE!!! It is the most expansive biometric identity system in the world, encompassing multimodal data inputs including facial recognition, palm prints, iris scans, voice data, scars and tattoos, and, increasingly, behavioral biometrics. That last part “Behavioral biometrics” sounds like the movie “Minority Report” with Tom Cruise.
Also in today’s video the administration wants to expand involuntary commitments by reversing judicial policies that restrict the use of the controversial approach and by providing grants, legal advice, and other assistance to local and state governments. The order also directs several agencies, including the Department of Health and Human Services, to audit grant recipients to ensure no money flows to organizations that promote policies that clash with the administration’s stated values.
You can be sure that since there’s no funding provided for this order that the homeless that they involuntarily commit will be sent to camps, since there is no room at existing treatment facilities.
