Tensions Remain High in the New Cold War Between the U.S. and China…
The tensions have remained high between the U.S. and China as it’s not just the coronavirus that they are arguing about.
It appears that China is putting the pressure on in Hong Kong and in Taiwan, just as the USA puts on more pressure by supporting both nations in their struggle to remain independent of mainland China.
The U.S. on Wednesday expressed support for Taiwan’s President Tsai Ing-wen, as she was sworn in for a second term. That was the start of China’s outrage regarding Taiwan. The other was a $180 million dollar torpedo deal for the Taiwan military that was announced the same day by the US State Department. You can read the rest of that story HERE.
Also China has signaled it is implementing its plan on a final takeover of Hong Kong, well ahead of the scheduled transfer of power in 2047. That story is HERE.
