Today I’m sharing some excellent examples of faith in Spokane in spite of the storms that surround us, in this case fires. Lisa and I are ok but we had a close call yesterday with a fire breaking out 1/2 mile from us. Praise God they were able to get it out or another big part of Spokane would have burned up.
Thanks to those who have been praying for us, they are definitely needed and appreciated.
JK Boots here in Spokane has been giving away their special handcrafted boots to the firefighters and people are stepping up to buy them more! https://www.facebook.com/share/p/17ypRNg6r8

The local news stations are junk, they’re not even covering this! Firefighters and law enforcement are being shot at as they respond to a brush fire near Coeur d’Alene Idaho!
Multiple heroic firefighters were attacked today while responding to a fire in North Idaho. This is a heinous direct assault on our brave firefighters. I ask all Idahoans to pray for them and their families as we wait to learn more. Teresa and I are heartbroken.
Sheriff Bob Norris has stated that it is still unknown how many people may be stranded on the mountain.
They have confirmed that some individuals managed to come down during the incident.
Three ambulances and a fire truck pulled into Kootenai Health just minutes ago, followed by many law enforcement vehicles. This is the largest amount of emergency vehicles I’ve seen arrive since I’ve been here. @kxly4newshttps://t.co/29Wh0P7jATpic.twitter.com/P6wnpj66V8
BREAKING NEWS: – Police are actively taking sniper fire on Canfield Mountain in CDA. – Firefighters were ambushed while responding to a brush fire. – At least two firefighters have been killed. – Unknown number of gunmen – FBI en route – Sheriff: if police have a clear shot,…
It appears that law enforcement found the shooter and he is deceased. Were there more than just one? We don’t know yet but the Sheriff has lifted the shelter in place order, so it appears that they found the person they believe was the shooter.
I will keep my eyes peeled for more information if it comes up.

The devasting impact of the Texas wildfires is beginning to emerge as the cattle industry braces for historic losses. One of several wildfires raging in the Texas Panhandle has now grown to become the largest in state history.
The Smokehouse Creek fire has been burning since Monday and has so far destroyed over one million acres of land in Texas alone. However, emergency crews have made little progress in containing it. It has so far torched the most land than any other recorded wildfire in the history of the state.
The same blaze has also destroyed 31,500 acres in Oklahoma, according to CNN. The Smokehouse Creek fire is just one of several that have ripped through Texas cattle country this week.
Two people have died so far in the fires. Ranchers have lost thousands of livestock with many more likely to be euthanized.
Many homes and other buildings have been lost to the flames, as well. Entire towns have been evacuated as emergency crews battle to contain the fires, with little success.
“The loss of livestock, crops, and wildlife, as well as ranch fencing and other infrastructure throughout our property as well as other ranches and homes across the region is, we believe, unparalleled in our history,” the ranch said in a statement.
State Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller told The New York Times that the Panhandle is home to roughly 85% of Texas’s cattle herds.
The region supports over 10 million head of livestock. Most of the cattle are kept in feedlots and dairy farms as farmers and ranchers attempt to shield their herds from the wildfires, Miller said.
“There are millions of cattle out there, with some towns comprising more cattle than people,” Miller told The Wall Street Journal.
But by the same word the heavens and earth that now exist are stored up for fire, being kept until the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly. 2 Peter 3:7

The mainstream media will tell you that the wildfire combined with winds from a hurricane (that was 500 miles out) is what caused this car to melt. Too bad this one is 2 miles outside of the fire zone. Their narrative is collapsing.
There are some really SCARY developments happening out of Lahaina, that are being totally IGNORED. 🚨🚨🚨
It’s obvious there is an intentional MEDIA BLACKOUT taking place around the whole region.
Even more than this, there are “special police” in the form of foreign vehicles… pic.twitter.com/CWRmXyq01M

This is the fire that’s closest to our place. It’s about 5-6 miles from us now as the crow flies. The smoke is HORRENDOUS as you can imagine and it’s impossible to do much outside. They are burning us and smoking us out like bugs around the world as Canada has even bigger fires going right now. Oh and look at how one of those “wildfires” in Canada got it’s start. Look at the mushroom cloud. No that’s NOT supposed to happen!
