Kraków Main Market Square Shooting: What We Know So Far
What’s confirmed (as of today, Nov 7, 2026):
- A gunman drove into Kraków’s Main Market Square around 15:00 local time and opened fire “at random people from his car” 1. Five people were killed and roughly a dozen or more injured, including two police officers 1.
- The suspect, described as wearing military-style attire and carrying a long, military-type firearm, was shot by police during his arrest and transported to hospital 1 2.
- Prime Minister Donald Tusk called the incident “tragic” and said police are investigating; President Karol Nawrocki said he is “deeply concerned” and that the head of the National Security Bureau is en route to Kraków 1.
- The square has been cordoned off, emergency services are on scene, and residents are being asked to avoid the area 1.
The terrorist in Krakow is a 25-year-old Polish citizen, Polsat News reports. He was also wearing military uniform and Nazi SS badge on his helmet. 5 people were killed. 15 have been hospitalized.
- Suspect identified only as a Polish citizen. An interior ministry spokesperson confirmed the nationality; Małopolska Police said he is the only perpetrator and is in custody, explicitly denying reports that a second suspect was being sought 1. Police also denied claims that an officer had died
- One officer critically wounded. Interior Minister Marcin Kierwiński said one officer suffered three gunshot wounds, underwent surgery and was “in very critical condition”; a second officer was also shot 1.
- Weapons cache in the car. Police spokesperson Katarzyna Cisło told TVN24 the gunman wore military-style fatigues and used a military-type long gun, and that officers found multiple other weapons and ammunition in his vehicle.
- A tram was fired at first. Kraków’s transport operator MPK reported shots were fired at a route-1 tram at All Saints’ Square, a short walk from the Main Market Square, shattering the driver’s cab window; no passengers or the driver were hurt 1. Local reports place the square gunfire near Sławkowska Street, fired from a passing car 5.
- Tusk’s appeal. The PM praised the “heroic police officers who risked their lives” and told politicians “of all stripes: do not exploit this tragedy,” adding “we will establish all the circumstances of this crime” 1.
Still unconfirmed
- Motive and any terrorism designation. No group has claimed responsibility and officials have not labeled it terrorism; Tusk says police are investigating “the background and all the circumstances”
- Names/ages of the shooter and victims, and the final casualty count (currently five dead, more than a dozen injured)
- Whether the earlier attack on the tram and the square shooting were a single continuous sequence — investigators are reconstructing the route.
If this is truly a mass shooting, then where is all of the blood from the victims? Could this be another false flag complete with crisis actors? Below I’m going to post some video from the scene. Please tell me if you see any blood or sign of a mass casualty event. Stay tuned, I’ll be keeping an eye on this because I think this story might be full of crisis actors and thereby full of crap.
