Trump’s top economic advisor says inflation is under control. But when asked why people still say prices are higher and everyday life feels more expensive, Kevin Hassett rejected the premise.
“I just don’t accept that fact,” Hassett said, arguing that Americans are feeling the benefits of the economy. He says we’re all lying and we don’t know what we’re talking about. In the meantime we all know prices have gone up by double digits or even doubled on many things since Trump took office. I’m just so sick of the delusion and gaslighting.
