What you see in the pictures above is a product I’ve been using for a decade called Cinnergy. It’s what I’ve been using to keep my type 2 diabetes in remission along with a no refined sugar no ultra processed foods diet. It’s also great for cleansing the liver daily. What I didn’t know about was it’s ability to fight parasites and how it’s being recommended for people who are detoxing/cleansing from parasites!

Cinnamon is believed to have antimicrobial and antiparasitic effects. It has been used in traditional remedies for millennia, such as decoctions, to help combat intestinal worms and other parasites! It contains compounds like eugenol and cinnamaldehyde that have antimicrobial, antifungal, and antiparasitic effects! Studies suggest that cinnamon can:

• Reduce the parasite load. Cinnamon extracts have been shown to significantly reduce fecal cysts (gross) and intestinal trophozoites in infections like Giardia lamblia. It damages parasites by causing structural injuries, leading to their disintegration and elimination.
• Inhibit Larvae Movement. Cinnamon essential oil can stop parasite larvae from migrating within the body and damage their digestive systems, ultimately leading to their deaths.
• Support Gut Healing. Cinnamon promotes intestinal healing by reducing inflammation and aiding in the repair of mucosal damage caused by parasites.

There was a time period of about a year where I could not take my Cinnergy supplement because it would make my gastritis (excessive belching) go crazy! Now I know why Cinnergy had that effect, it was killing off the parasites and I was probably driving them crazy to boot! As the parasites die off or reproduce they excrete toxins into our bodies and make us sick. I had to make modifications to my diet in order to even eat back then.

Milk Thistle is often used for parasite cleansing primarily due to its liver supporting properties. The active compound in milk thistle, silymarin, has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and hepatoprotective (the ability of a substance to protect the liver) effects, which helps the liver detoxify and generate cells. Since the liver plays a key role in filtering toxins and processing waste, including those released in a parasite cleanse, milk thistle can support this process.

Additionally milk thistle may aid in removing some parasites when combined with other herbs like Oregano grape root, Cinnamon and others including black walnut, wormwood and cloves (more on cloves in a minute). Its immune boosting properties may also help the body combat infections more effectively. However its direct antiparasitic effects are less well documented than it’s liver benefits. That’s one reason I’ve been taking it all of these years, to protect my liver. Now I know it’s also helping to get rid of my parasites! The liver cleansing effect is important to help get rid of the parasites AND to help cleanse the liver from any drugs you’re taking like Ivermectin or FenBen.

Now for the cloves, a deadly enemy for parasites and their eggs!

Cloves play a significant role in parasite cleansing due to their strong antiparasitic properties, primarily attributed to the compound eugenol. Here’s how it works.

• Disruption of Parasite Metabolism. Eugenol interferes with the energy metabolism of parasites by inhibiting key enzymes, this leads to reduced ATP production, ultimately killing the parasites.
• Egg Destruction. This is the primary reason I’ve been using it for, to kill off the eggs and prevent them from hatching. That breaks the life cycle of parasites and reduces reinfection risks.
• Damage to parasite structure. Clove extracts can damage the cutical and outer layers of worms, leading to their death. This corrosive effect is particularly effective against nematodes like Haemonchus contortus.
• Broad Antimicrobial Action. In addition to targeting parasites, cloves also combat bacterial and fungal infections that may accompany parasitic infestations, further supporting gut health.
