theywont do this but, if they had any , soul, morals and brains, theyd stop poisoning everything, and invest in , getting like tons , of cicada killer wasps, and mud dauber wasps as well, both are natural predators of katydidsd, , cicadas., they would need a lot, and major , breeding program , for each state, , , , , and anything else might curb, the problem, , instead of pesticides., , , we are blessed so fra in my neck of the woods mo., rural, we have a lot, good amount seems of mudwasps, , im looking for the cicada killers also, havent yet , seen them, or maybe i misadentified, but we do have good amount of the good blue wasps, known as mud wasps, a predator, like cicada killer wasp, of cicadas. , i tell husband to leave them alone, they dont try to sting humans like reg. wasps, they good, they kill the destroying cicadas.
